Still lots of speculating and non factual Gibberish !
What amazes me is even the moderators are joining in with the nonsense ????
The phone is not in stock in ANY retail outlet currently - ONLINE or LOCAL - FACT !
The launch price of $199 for the 2gb version was confirmed by the ASUS sales director at CES - FACT !
The 1st batch of phones were confirmed to be available in March by the ASUS sales director at CES - FACT !
Everything else posted on here or elsewhere and any pre order / pre launch prices published anywhere currently are NOT the official ASUS prices and are purely the price that the chancers listing them are hoping to get for them - FACT !
As i have said previously - Relax - Chill out and Wait as all will be revealed soon !
If you are daft enough to pay over the top prices for one of these phones via a pre order website seller then you are quite frankly BONKERS !
I would suggest that the MODERATORS act a little more responsibly and only post factual information that they have had confirmed via ASUS as anything else is quite frankly irresponsible and only adds to the confusion !

my expectation is 1st or 2nd week of march.

First off, contrary to what people are saying here, the price of this phone is UNDEFINED as of yet. However, our best bet right now is the preorder price from certain retailers: $300 for 2GB and $440 for 4GB variant. As for availability, this will vary by country, some sooner and some later.

Hardik, 20 Feb 2015Yup.....disappointed by this decision by asus.These prices are NOT from Asus, they are from third poarty venders who charge more for "pre orders" then when the phone is released they buy them for the lower retail price and ship them out to the people who got suckered into paying more for "pre-ordering" them.

Asus is the only source for pricing and they announced at CES and their twitter the price of the 5.5" 2gb 1080p variant will be $199. You guys need to stop spreading false information and do some.. you know.. journalism.

And there is very slight hope that they will release the Snapdragon and Intel chipset integrated device here, in India.
