i really like this phone, here in the philippines its just less a half of the price of the 2 leading company for their flagship phone, specs are good, unfortunately, i had this one last december and recently i had a problem with the screen, the touch sensor cant recognize my finger so i need to bring it to service center, anyone here has also experienced this kind of problem?

Love this phone. Like other phones, it comes with pros and cons.
Pros : came with good preinstalled apps. Battery life is superb. Camera and photos quality at its best. Moderate sound quality. Good video quality. Most games are playable with no overheating. Thats my phone. Unlucky for some with faulty ones from irresponsible manufacturers.
Cons : too many preinstalled apps. Some useless apps are not meant to be uninstalled but can only disabled, to some free memory sensitive users. Latest software update, until this date of post, came with minor bug where storage capacity is inaccurate where free space is disappearing by itself day by day even after multiple phone resets. Unable to enter recovery mode, showing only an android lying down with 'error' below it.
Otherwise, this phone runs smooth. So far so good until latest update earlier this year causes storage issues. And I'm lucky that I got a good manufacturer too.

same problem to others, my zenfone 2 is clicking its own specially when i open the wifi or data connection like automatically open app even if i'm not touching the screen,even i close wifi and data, i can't use my phone sometimes, pls help me..

Viking , 19 Feb 2016should i buy this phone? any one ans..Yeap. If youre looking for a powerful cheap phone with high quality product from asus, then you should buy it. Few things I might dislike abt this phone is, its preinstalled with too many apps. Some are useful and some are not. Most android phones have these preinstalled apps too. You can try this phone because for me, its a good cheap phone. Not too expensive & not too cheap.

The screen Gorilla Glass 4 of my Asus Zenfone 2 selfie cracked on the first drop.. about 40 cm .... And the third party screen glass protector was intact ..

Had this phone almost a year now still cant get off it, even if the latest Zenfone is coming! Specs are superb! With this I don't need an iphone or galaxy. Less than half the price too!

This is the worst device I have ever bought. When I bought this phone, the unit that I had was defective. The phone would shut down at 40% or 30% battery and won't boot until plugged in to the power supply so I had it replaced from the store where I bought it from. The replacement, unluckily was also defective as the double tap to lock/unlock function won't work. I had it checked by the store salesperson and they decided to replace it again. I was able to use the unit for a couple of months but I wasn't satisfied with the performance, gaming wise. Most games that I like to play were laggy because they were not compatible with this phone's gpu. Those games run pretty well on my older samsung device though. Other applications run well and fast however. After a few months, I noticed occasional flickering of the screen whenever I use some applications. I never put it beside me in my bed when I sleep. Then one day, the phone just won't turn on. Whenever I press or long press the power button, it would just vibrate and never boot. Charging also doesn't work. I went to the service center to have it fixed, and they told me that I have to wait for one or two months before I get my phone back. Too bad, because this is my second asus phone, and I also had my first phone repaired from the service center weeks after I bought it. I think that I will never buy asus phone again because they have way too many bad units, at least based on my experience. I'll be out of town for two days, and I don't have a phone to rely on whenever I need directions to where I am going. I now regret buying this phone. Had I bought other phone, my experience I think would be better.

mozzy, 18 Feb 2016Asus Zenfone 2 ZE551ML 64GB had a micro sd slot?? thank you...All ZE551ML versions have the microSD slot. I put a 128 GB Sandisk card in mine.

I bought asus zenfone 2 for a few months now. At first everything fine, then after a few software updates the back of the phone heats up and battery drain out so extremely fast. Even I hve done back to factory setting, the problem is still there. I hve never encounter such issue with samsung smartphones even when i did several software updates from time to time. Don't buy asus smartphones. It's a wasting of your money and time.

The issue is that ... moreyour phone screen will automatically turned of because the proximity sensor detect an object that near the proximity sensor. the reason why the screen goes blank is to prevent your cheek from touching the screen while you make a phonecall. of course you don't want to press the end call button when you're talking. and there's nothing you can do to disable that feature.
