im using this phone for 3 days now....facing the double tap problem...can lock screen with double tap but cannot open with double tap... and charging takes soo much time at certain percentage but suddenly it becomes full...very weird and misguiding....anyone has same problem like me?, please maybe u have the solution to it..thanks

AnonD-485810, 08 Jan 2016did you get any battery charging problem??At first use there were some battery calibration issues, when battery goes below 15% it swtches of autimatically, then I heard removing of sdcard will solve this issue and surprisingly it did. Then I used it till 0% and charged it fully now battery is working fine.
Complete(0-100%) charge takes approx 2:30 hrs.
The supplied charger is of good quality but socket pins are a bit thin and doesn't fit perfectly in every socket so sometimes it shows a message like use authentic asus charger.
Battery life is as expected just average same as GSMs review. Sometimes had to charge twice a day.
I have played Beach Buggy for about 38min battery dropped by 15% (max temp around 40'c in app cpuz)
I haven't noticed any heating issues while regular usage except camera if you use camera for more than 5-10 mins continuously it will get a little warm. But during continuous web browsing over wifi it doesn't heat up.

I have the 2.3Ghz/4GB version. Many are complaining about its battery life, but for me it's average, considering the specs. I've had this phone for a month and I usually get around 5 hours screen-on time (SOT). So far, my maximum SOT is 6 hours and 12 minutes with 4% remaining on battery. I had to uninstall/disable a bunch of bloatware, though. I also use Auto-Start Manager (pre-installed) and Greenify (downloaded) to help save battery.

I am using Zenfone 2 ZE551ML which I bought in in august. Runs smooth. Happy with zenfone support and updates.. faced problem after few days of purchase, for which I got service free of cost..
Really nice phone..
I am using toooo many applications still no problem..

AnonD-484830, 06 Jan 2016I bought the 4GB, 2.3Ghz, 64GB version from qd_au eBay earl... moreMine started to flicker last December 29 2015, had the update after but still screen problems persisted ie: flickers, fades to all white, vertical bands appear, videos play but you can't see a thing, camera don't work especially the one in front, everything gets worse when power is at 35% or less but is normal so to speak when plugged in or you have been tinkering with the phone for a while.. I have half a mind to slam this against a wall if it wasn't still under warranty. Was so proud of my purchase but now not so much!

I have recently purchased zenfone 2(ze551ml) mainly for the reason that it has quite good output via headphones but I cannot feel any difference between my previous grand prime or galaxy j7. At max volumes it distorts at highs and mids.
I am using cowon em1 or mi piston 3 earphones.
Is this normal or there is something wrong with my handset?

phone (32gb ,4rgb ram in dual channel mode) is awesome.battery with cool use dont drain fast (we talking about 5.5 inch screen!!!).its a very fast phone in all apps ingluding GPS ,camera is midle (or u can buy a DLSR), desing is very good.

This phone is seriously a dissapointment. Battery drains too fast. Overnight with super saving on and data off, yet u lose 10 to 15% power in the morning. U have to rely on powerbank the whole day.Gets really hot when charging and while talking. A dud phone. I have bought a samsung A8 now. No such problems. Will never buy asus products ever again

For 2GB RAM model, free RAM is around 700MB-900MB.
For 4GB RAM model, free RAM is around 1700MB-1900MB.
