I absolutely love this phone! I picked it up on Amazon.ca for $267 taxes and shipping included.
The display is bright and clear battery lasts all day long and I'm a mid power user in terms of remote desktop and remote support apps, plus next to no bloatware!
I've always used brand Canadian top tier phones like LG and Samsung where I'm paying out $800 plus for a phone without a contract and I tell you this phone runs neck-and-neck with them easily.
At first I was hesitant because Asus is a "computer" company and I've used them for gaming rigs and they're great. But a friend said to me one key statement and my decision was made:
"Who better to make an SOC single board device slap a screen on it, make it cost effective, fast, stable and durable than a company that spent its entire life building bad-ass motherboards that overclock without batting an eyelash"
So I kinda felt silly when he put it that way, how could I miss that, so took a leap of faith and I've never looked back!
I'm about to put Oreo on my phone will definitely check what they're saying on Zen talk first. I am a big fan of if it's not broken don't upgrade it or fix it..
Totally would recommend this phone to anybody who's tired of buying $800 bloatware Samsung's and LG's.

This phone doesn't really last for 2 days of active using. If you will not use it all the time it might last for 2 days (maybe just text and no wifi). But what's the sense of buying and not using? I've had this phone for like 2 weeks only and I usually use it for messenger and for chatting. Starting at 8:30 am to 6 pm, the battery from 100% will be 15%. so maybe 7 pm its dead. so I don't know if it really lasts for gaming. So basically the 5000mah is like a click bait. Mostly new phones can last for 2 days. If this new phone won't last for 24 hours, then sooner or later I will be carrying power bank with me coz 48 days is not genuine, not even 24 hours.

this is a very good phone. Battery is still around 80 plus percent after a whole day work

I got this phone in November after my old Samsung S4 mini tragically died, and just like many other people these days, I encountered problems with slow charging. So I starting freaking out about my battery's health (to the point I never charge it overnight anymore in order to avoid stressing it) and got myself new reinforced Anker cable. But yeah, it was only because of the heat (here in southwestern France we're experiencing temperatures like 30 or 35℃ in the afternoon). I think that's actually a pretty clever choice for improved safety. Kudos to Asus for making sure that their big phone battery doesn't overheat.

Here in southwestern France we're experiencing temperatures from 30 to 35°C in the afternoon, so I'm glad to know that it's a normal thing that was implemented for security purposes, and not my battery's health already declining after less than a year of use. It's a good thing that I got worried though, as I decided to look up tips to increase a battery's longevity so now I'm almost never charging my phone overnight in order to avoid stressing the voltage.

This phone has super solution on camera and I can play Mobile Legends better and to avoid crashing games, we should keep the temperature low on the phone. The charging takes up to 3 hours my phone can keep up from 24 to 35 hours (including playing games, watching videos for 6hrs, surfing, texting and calling). Beware of watching via OTG because battery will drain faster. Remember it has a reverse charging features

This phone is good. I first had this phone since Nov 2017. However, on my first try connecting the internet and using the apps (e.g. Twitter, Google Maps), my phone is kicking me out from it so I just did the reset and it. I think I had that experience for 2 days even the split screen is not working right but after that everything went fine.

This is worse than zc550kl which had a plastic body. This one is metal and it is vad design. Every little impact is transferred to the so called gorilla glass screen. I have had its screen shattered twice in three months by falling from only about 1 feet onto wooden surface indoors. Asus will charge you everytime this ever breakable fragile thing falls. Avoid at all costs.

I bought this phone for less than 200 $ and I guarantee you, until 2019 / 2020 you won't find anything better for that price.
