Asus gives an excellent smartphones with reasonable price tag. Zenfone 4 Pro is better than Samsung galaxy s8 plus and Note 8 and also better than LG V30.

Cmon, isnt Zenfone 2 era and ASUS is maturing themsleves faster than "you know". Even Zenfone 3 get Android 7 faster than their 2016's phones. And blame the Intel, theyre stopping production of Intel Atom Z series not ASUS. Then, how about X****a M5? Its has same release age of Zenfone 2,64 Bit SoC and MEDIATEK still exist then why no Android 7 update for it?
Android 8 isnt rumor, ASUS announcing it on Zenfone 4 series release in Taiwan so Zenfone 3 will get Android 8 with ZenUI 4 on Q1/Q2 2018.
Check Zenfone 4 Pro hands on/review on YouTube and hope GSMArena can review it. They say Zenfone 4 Pro has backlight key.
I dont know about 4K HDR but seems like it has very big memory size,drain battery faster and very limited content. FHD + AMOLED its enough for everyone. (Even HD + IPS)

Piece of junk with screen resolution, backlit "back" key probably missing, and the same like with ZenFone2 ZE551ml the updates and new android will come just in rumours otherwise you are still on shit that is capable android 8.0 but it won't get it so why buy it? Asus never ever again. Plus ghost touch plus cheap plastic...not worth buying I rather give 200 eur more for better phone 4K HDR capable etc.

Nice device, but the same weakness as ZF3: few drops of water can kill it.

It cost around 40-50k php? I rather buy an iphone 8 plus or iphone 7 plus(2nd hand) spec wise and money wise, sorry not a fanboy with the two platforms so no bias

Dearest Asus. You usually make the high quality smartdevices that last more that usual expectations ! This is a high end carefully made smartphone device ! But using the least bezel and using USB V 3.1 and mentioning otg , undoubtedly will have put this phablet to much more high ends + eradication of unpopular hybrids !!! Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar loves all brands and my writing is merely suggestions and never every destruction criticisms....Thanks GSMArena to release unbiased neutral opinions....

I would say for the current version of software, it might have aptx, since the older Zenfone devices have one. Have a look here "https://www.aptx.com/products?field_aptx_type_tid=482&field_product_category_tid=All&field_product_brand_tid=194". Keep in mind that some devices are supported but somehow they are not in the list, like Xperia Z5. However, you can wait until Android O update, if it does happen, since Android O support AptX, AptX and even LDAC for mdr1000x.

I want to buy hi-fi headset with this phone (bose qc35 or sony mdr100x). But in the specs no apt-x support defined! :(
Is there a technology for hi-fi music transmission in this phone? Please help.

Even though the design is boring, the phone still has interesting spec - basically one plus 5 with hardware navigation, native stereo speakers, OIS, larger aperture and pixel size, radio, and a lovely micro sd slot. The software department would be inferior to one plus 5 though.

if battery is 4000 it will be emperor of segment (don't forget the price should be acceptable to common man ) and easily wins peoples heart behind pocket
