My Zenfone 5 stopped working after I dropped it in the sink for a few seconds. Not durable at all.

I already use this phone for almost 2 years... so far it's good phone and the price is cheap.. only the battery life isn't too good....

This is a cheap but capable phone. If you bought this thinking you were going to be able to play hours and hours of computer games it is not the fault of the phone. You will get a days use out of it with casual use. Remember to quite applications after you have finished with them. I bought this phone and have used it now for 1.5 years and it has served fine.
Yes it is up-gradable to lollipop but you had to download the install package and do it manually. It was faster after the upgrade.
I have written this review to counter the trivial childish whinges from people who expect miracles for under 200 dollars. It is what it is. A reasonable cheap smart phone on par with those at the same price point.
Complaints:
The external speakers could be louder.
ASUS insists on its own bloatware (but they are not alone)
The battery does appear to be draining faster as the phone ages, but this is par for the course of Lithium batteries.

It's a portable heater that needs charging every 5 hours. That's it!

Ive been using this Phone since 1.5 Years. I found it very smooth and responsive. But i found battery getting drained very fast.

Poor battery life. Hangs frequently while talking on the phone and we have to restart it.
If we install many applications, then phone hangs.

Hey guys I am using zenfone 5 almost for 1.5 years ,there is no lag and the set runs smoothly on high end games and multi tasking,display and touch sensitivity id awesome but the worst part is camera and battery,front camera looks like vga and rear camera is so poor it dont even look like 5 mp. I get maximum charge upto 5 hours when am using continuosly like gaming or browsing.the design is pretty well .but overall its not a perfect phone but for 10k its okay.

Not a good phone at this point in time.. phone was good but battery drains so fast that you would need to carry a power bank all the time. With 1 to 2 hrs of use phone will be dead. I have not seen so poor speaker sound in any other make, I have removed the mess which is placed in the back cover but not much use. I am writing this comment after 10 months.

Really Bad Experience. :/

Total waste of money Pls DO NOT BUY ANY ASUS SMARTPHONE.....I bought this phone last year June'2015....he worked good for 6 months and then the contact screen started hanging,the phone also started to hang. I hardly make 1 or 2 calls a day which last only for 5 mins but the phone battery drains so fast. the phone charging adapter gets heated. I went to Asus service center they changed the battery but still the battery drains the same way and they did not change the charging adapter bcoz it was more than 6 months....So friends don't waste your hard earned money in buying Asus.

priya, 17 Apr 2016while im calling the screen is getting locked and im unable... morejust delay the automatic screen lock so it won't lock immediately. what I do is I set the power button to end the call.
