All of the people who complains about the Poor Battery life is retarded and i think it's the only first time you had the smartphone because all smartphones suffered this, I used my Mom's Zenfone 5 for a week now and compared it to my phone (Sony Xperia Z) and my Xperia Z only has a slight edge with 1.5 days in moderate used and My mom's Zenfone 5 can last 19-22 hours in moderate used (w/o games) so I think the people who complains about the battery life is a heavy gamer i think even my SONY Xperia Z suffered this problem with heavy use for games it can last for about 6 hours so stop complaining about the battery life maggots.

Anyone havin sim card detection problem.. suddenly sim 2 is not detected and automatically it is again detected.. I am facing this problem for past 1 month... my zen5 is 2 months old.. is it hardware problem r software problem???

Battery life?
Yes, it doesnt has an impressive battery life.
But,
Its battery life is just the same as most of the smartphones available on the market, which can last a day. It may has a lower battery life compared to high price smartphones, but hey, look at the price.
I've been using this phone for months and it was good. No problems. Sorry to say this, but Some of the commments on the phone are irrelevant and its like they never used a smartphone before.

4.5 hrs of usage that you mentioned is on screen time?
With jelly bean, i was loosing 1% charge every 3 mins while screen was on. After updating to kitkat, battery life improved drastically (1% every 7-10mins with screen on) for a couple of hours. But after that, it reduced and becam worse than it was during jelly bean. 1% every 1.5-2 minutes.
Brightness always 0 & only 1 ap running at a time. 3.5-4hrs of onscreen time with 2g on and not much aps running in the background. Using greenify, CM antivirus, Clean master, All aps r hibernated except for CM antivirus. With jelly bean i was getting an onscreen time of 4.5-5hrs.
I querried Asus about this and this is what they said -

Amar, 08 Dec 2014can u honestly tell me about its battery life?The only downside of the Zenfone 5 is its battery. If your a heavy user in applications and always connected to 3G or wi-fi, the battery drains so fast. A maximum of 4 and 1/2 hours at least. But if your using it as a regular phone for text and call, the battery last at least a day and a half. But like what I always say, with its full packed features which is way beyond my expected price tag, who am I to complain. By the way, most electronic stores in the mall in Metro Manila who distributed Asus Zenfone 5 are already sold out. You have to make special order and wait for at least a week or 2.
