I know why its heating, the core, it only runs two core if Asus made this a quadcore that should solve the heating problem.

all i can say is not 100% accurate.
im a zenfone user and iphone 5 user.
about the lag issue: same as i5
battery issue : when you are heavy user it will last 3-5hours, but for me, i used to play games with my zenfone5 it can last 12-15hours
camera : i am very satisfied with the cam since the last update of the zenfone 5. thanks to asus.
quality of the video is 10/10
overall, I can sa that z5 and i5 is equally match

I'm just a zenfone 5 user from Philippines.
using the device for more than 2(two)months
-for the screen-
i also didn't put any screen protector at all.. but ZERO SCRATCHES.. I just put my phone in my pocket with coin, lighter etc.
-for the battery-
in playing online game the battery last for more or less 4 hours from 100 - 0%, straight gaming..
but with regular use..
my zenfone 5 last for 1day and an hour,
with 8 hours wifi on and 3h 35m screen time on..
even the last 1% of my battery last for more than 4 hours.(i have screen shots)
-for its signal and performance-
i'm also using Galaxy s4 but based on my experience zenfone 5 has a better signal reception. I'm using the same network on both phones.
and for zenfone 5 performance i didn't experience lag or slowing down most specially in just swiping the home screen.. LOL.. most specially i can play hd games in full resolution settings like asphalt 8, nfs most wanted, real racing 3, and riptide gp2.
the camera was average for 8mp reso.
the only issue for me was the heating problem..

[deleted post]dear sandeep, i would suggest you go chose zenfone because besides its battery this phone is superior than lumia,
also i think android is far better than windows , so much tweaks and customization and upcoming lollipop. i advice you to chose zenfone only because its android,

I bought the Asus Zenphone on September 2 2014. I activated it on the 6th (I was away when it arrived) I loved the handling, the camera everything about the phone - until the 17th September when it stopped recognising a SIM in slot 2. The next issue happened a day or two later when the battery got exceptionally hot just sitting on idle, after that the battery drained within 2 or 3 hours of charge. A month later it stopped recognising SIM in slot 1. What I have now is a useless brick. I'm so disappointed as I loved the feel of this phone and the interface - it was so simple to use and good to look at.

@jj, isnt there an auto power cut off in our phones to prevent overcharging?
I have been leaving my phone on charge all night with the phone switched off for the last 10days.

If reliance and towers are searched constantly than battery may drain. Remove that SIM and check, battery should lasts long, my friend was having same problem and after removing Reliance SIM, it lasts for 15 hours
