Jack, 27 Nov 2014Good to see amitkk back on this forum. @Tomazz & Ami... morelooks like your os has a bug in it, i would suggest you do a factory reset and install firmware again to see if it helps, regarding importing contacts , you can import contacts from other phones via bluetooth, for that you have to export them to sd card in old phone and then transfer the file via bluetooth to sdcard and then import it

Hi. I'm still using 4.3 OS version as I read a lot about issues in the kit Kat update. Does the problem of missing keyboard still persist in the latest update? Are there any bugs? Has the battery drain got worse after the updates? Please help me out.

@Tomazz & Amitkk, i have a few doubts,
My baTttery drains 1% every 2-3 mins.
All aps are hibernated by greenify.
2g is on half of the times.
50% n above of my battery is consumed by me screen n android system.
Google play services is enabled but i have denied it access to anything through ap ops starter. Google play doesnt show in battery consumption list.
Brightness is always 0.
Is the battery consumption i mentioned normal for me?
Also, yesterday night my phone misbehaved. when i restarted it, the screen didnt respond to touch... options were being automatically displayed and selected. i used the power on button to switch off the phone. After restart, it was fine.
is it ok for phones like these to behave like that or should i go for a replacement?
Also, can any one please tell me how to import my contacts from my old phone through bluetooth?

Dani, 23 Nov 2014Does the phone lag went we play games ,wifi or any apps....... moreThere is no lag while browsing or in other apps. I didn't play many games but the ones I did, I didn't experience any lag. Though 1-2 times an app shut down abruptly while using it. The call quality is good. The loudspeaker volume is low. But if you listen to music thru earphones, then the sound quality is good.

Hope you are doing good!! I am using Zenfone ... more1- yes he was talking about standby mode
2- if you are surfing web then its normal that battery drain 1% per minute but if wifi is on and you are not using it and still it drains then there must be a problem
3-you should update to kitkat, its bug free now
4- you could go back to jb again if you like

Hi Tomazzz, I'm loosing 1% battery every 3-4 minutes with screen on.
Brightness 0
All aps hibernated.
Google play services enabled but all the access to it denied through ap ops starter.
No battery savers.
2g data on half of the time.
Phone unrooted.
Is this normal with this phone? Are you getting a similar battery life or better?
Any suggestions please?

No problem with your handset.
Zenfone 5 does not have those backlit buttons

I may share unprejudiced and impartial experience after using Asus Zenfone 5 (8GB) for the last 20 days.
I have been using Samsung, Nokia in the past but user friendly applications of Asus are a pleasure. The automatic update to Kitkat was total smooth. The Asus Key board simply great. The camera functions are great and above all the call quality is beyond imagination in my Asus 5. The display is very crisp. Yes, the phone requires daily charging which is a common feature for all android smart phones.

My asus 5 version 2ram 2ghz 16gb its really better...for me more better of samsung s4...thedesign, performace ,battery and camera are wonderfull ! But lets go with update asus !!!
