Abhishek, 17 Oct 2014is charging my zenfone with 2.0A charger is safe. as my zen... moreI use Samsung's 2.5A chargers that came with Note 2 all the time, and they are now nearly 6 months old, without an issue.

Obviously note that charging with a higher current chargers will charge the battery faster, but will also make the battery last fewer cycles.

On the other hand... although it requires to take the whole phone apart, a battery costs 35$ and can be replaced in 30 min.

AnonD-321150, 20 Oct 2014Is it ok to use the phone while plugged on the computer? No... moreThat's OK, but if you use it while charging, it would likely get warm.

Not really so when already charged, so it's OK to use it.

Do note that using ANY electrical appliance, while plugged into power socket (directly or indirectly - indirectly meaning through another source, such as a charger, a computer, transformer,...) has a possibility of giving an electric shock if the charger malfunctions or if it gets in contact with conductive materials, like if you drop it in water, for example.

Given Zenfone is made out of plastic, the chances of an electric shock are pretty much 0, unlike aluminium models, such as iPhone or Sony or some HTC phones, which can give you a serious shake-up if something goes wrong with the charger.

These last 2 paragraphs were just a disclaimer to previous post :P

wazzup, 18 Oct 2014could be Anabelle playing a trick on youor possibly the SD card, if used for video location, may be too slow or damaged.

When SD card is too slow (for FullHD the class 4 cards are generally too slow, especially noname ones) there's a buffer that the phone would be using, before it can successfully write the stream. But that buffer is limited, and when it runs out, the video recording stops.

Since file got interrupted during write, it may not be playable at all.

Try with Class 10 SD card, and format it first before inserting into the phone.

There's a Motorola LED widget that I'm using since notification light was broken in JB, so I am not sure how it works without it but I assume it should, as there is now even option in settings to turn it off or on.

You don't have it turned off in settings by any chance?

Looking at what could be causing this, the charging regulator might not work properly or get overheated, hence cutting the power to protect battery, or the battery itself could be overheating. But it's just as possible the USB charger or cable could have issues.

I am fairly confident that this is hardware related.

1.18.40.10 is preparation for KitKat, which replaces recovery partition from JB to KK, so while you can install it, that won't make any changes in phone's operations as there are no fixes in it.
