If it's protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 then why my Zenfone 5 got scratched when bumped to my bag's zipper? ;(

Ray, 14 Oct 2014were you able to fix it ? I too experiencing the ShittJust try to change some other operator SIM. and once you start accessing APN setting page ,then it will work for your exiting SIM also.

i updated 4.4.2 last week.. there's no problems like mobile data don't work, Google text to speech don't work and bla bla bla...the battery life also better..everything just fine..

cons which i found after using this phone for month are
1. Call quality is ok but feel the heat if you talk long.
2. battery with full time mobile data on but with moderate use gives me around 10 hrs.
Rest every thing is far to good than other phone in this segment.

In my phone notifications diplays 4.4 update 400mb file .. is kitkat 4.4 is good or bad suggest me guys pls... i saw many complaints about kitkat update. can i update it or better to be in jelly bean

adjsl, 13 Oct 2014Combination of some effort can minimize the battery drain p... moreI appreciate your inputs adjsl, I'm also using flip cover since day 1 coz I hate to see my things scratched. it defeats the purpose of having a smart phone when you use it minimal to make it last all day... Old school phones with keypads last longer than this piece of plastic trash. I updated it to the latest kitkat with minor issue on onscreen keyboard but I still notice the battery slowly counting down. Now I purchase portable charger because the Asus Zenfone 5 has unreliable battery sad to say. I don't mind paying more for a better batt but I liked the brand ever since that's why I had to have 1. I felt betrayed. What good is a hitech device if you can't use til abused. by my usage the battery will surely not last long as I believe most rechargeables 500 life cycle charging will affect its holding capacity. its predictable that Zenfone 5 users must replace the handsets soon.

Can someone tellme what is the typical temperature of the cpu and battery when doing normal browsing and checking emails. With no games, songs or videos..mine is abt 48˚C and battery abt 38˚C. Is this ok or shall i ask for a replacement?

Nobody can tell in advance if you will have problem or not after updating.
Try it and let us know!
