Tomazz, the full download of 2.19.40.18 at Asus website is for TOOF version ww. Any problem if I use it for my TOOJ phone ww ?

    I have a issue after kitkat update,
    Sometime my phones proximity sensor is always running...
    It's very irritating...
    How can i fix this issue...?

        There are other, unofficial techniques to do that one or 2 pages back, with links to how it can be done. Search for Ranking (1). :)

          Choose Android under the operating systems, then you will see the Firmwares at the top of the list that shows up. Why Malaysia? Because it's in English so you guys can read it, and does not redirect to shop like Singapore.

                  Since this differs from operator to operator, I would suggest you to check their website how to set it up or take it to their shop.

                  You do not need instructions for this exact model. Most phones have same vocabulary.

                    Hi Tomazz, I updated my mobile to 1.18.40.10 then to
                    2.19.40.18 through mobile. But now the battery draining too fast in normal mode as well as in idle mode. please help. Currently my mobile shows android version 4.4.2 and build number 2.19.40.18

                      That's why speaker sucks, so does camera flash, there's overheating of CPU, etc.

                      Because 1.15, 1.16 and 1.17 updates which fix all these issues are skipped.

                      Anyone with new phone, that hasn't updated anything yet, should go to Asus website, and in support and drivers find the full OS update for 1.18.40.9, and load that.

                      This full update contains all of the fixes of the previous OTA updates, it is a complete package.

                      Alternatively, you can download them all from here:

                      http://www.mega-networks.asia/ZenFone/ZenFone5_WW_Firmware

                      But please beware this folder only contains updates for WWE-Androis and WW SKU.

                      If you have a Chinese version, do NOT use these files.

                      Asus website on the other hand has all versions.

                      The 2 FOTA updates are incremental. They are not complete firmware and are only to be used if you have loaded full previous version.

                                  AnonD-302492, 08 Oct 2014flashed the rom many times,still no mobile data.apn errorAfter restoring,I just changed my Airtel sim with a reliance,which auto create apn and I got access to apn settings,manually create a Airtel apn on settings,didnt switch off,just reswap the reliance with Airtel and I am good to go.
                                  I have not updated all apps,still getting nearly no problems aside apn settings before yesterday.When mobile data on,lockscreen(slide)unlocked automatically now.Remember I haven't updated my apps after restore,so that might be the cause.Battery is ok for me.No heating too after yesterday's update.

                                    I bought the phone last Sep. 16, 2014, then on Oct 7 I cannot open it, but the day before I charge it and it took time to be fully charged. It's the same thing that happened to my buddy, we bought it in the same store. Hers was just a week.

                                      The new OTA update 2.19.40.18 also do not fix the battery problem. It drains quite fast even with ultra power saving mode and battery doctor etc installed ....

                                        Thanks for the reply Tomazz, so is it fix now? is there any problem you encounter on the update?i want to try the KITKAT OS but im still afraid because of so many complaints they posted here.
