If you want to recieve an apk from another phone..Simply rename it...example like this..nfs.apk then rename it to nfs.mp3...do not change the format of the file..just the name..Sorry for broken english :) hope i helped you..

I hv been using asus zenfone5 for 1month and honestly, this phone is AWESOME. It is better than my previous phone (samsung ace plus) no lag, no stuck. Ppl keep on complaining on the battery, but yknow what? My phone battery survived from 8am to 5pm when im going to class even if i switched on the mobile data. Well, im an average user so i only use twitter whtsapp instagram facebook. But still, the battery will last until i reach home around 6 or 7pm. Its a smartphone anyway, u cant expect a 24hrs bttry back up. With its price, only rm629 (gold) i feel that this is worth it! The display is great, camera good quality. I just updated the zen UI launcher and it is very very very beautiful! I loveeeee it! And honestly i have a problem with some apps bfr for exmple vscocam. Maybe it is not compatible bcs i couldnt launch it but then i reported it to playstore and they finally fixed it! Nw i can happily editing my photos with vscocam. Trust me, zenfone5 will worth your money. If you are under budget, go with this phone. But if you still want better than this, good battery, a dslr quality camera, AND IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF MONEY, JUST BUY OTHER HIGH PRICE PHONE THAT WILL SUIT YOUR NEEDS. Have a nice day! :)

I have the MTK version...its just only one problem with MTk chipset....its only heat problem...but its only minor thing....:o
i have zenfone 5 and redmi note....both performance arent no different....zenfone 5 are slighter fast than redmi note...but most people wont notice that....its minimum slight...:o
but the big different is....redmi note have bigger battery capacity...while zenfone 5 need to be charge 2-3 times/day....my redmi note only 1 time charge for 1 1/2 day.... its not slight....its a long gap....LoL....
oh...onemore...zenfone 5 have corning gorilla class 3....yups...its only resistant to scratch...not crack...LoL....my nephew zenfone 5 are crack...:p....
for redmi not lcd screen is okay....aint need that corning gorilla class 3....coz i can buy cheap tempered glass...and it will make that lcd screen scratch resistant too.....:o...see...cheap and easy solution...

It downloads and plays the video without any troubles.
WhatsApp version is 2.11.378. The firmware is 1.18.40.
Videos were sent from Sony Xperia Z2 and Oppo Find 7.
Both were received without a problem. And sending video back to them also worked flawlessly.

Whatsapp videos doesnt download in one touch???? 17time touched for 1.2mb video & many videos downloding problem in whatsapp only.it shows unable to download even i refreshed it completely after all same problem pleeeeeese solve anyone?????

Else go to Asus.com site, choose Phones at the top, then ZenFone 5 A500/501CG, then Support, then Download, and in the list select Android or Other, then download the file for your specific version of SKU.
Extract it to a folder on say desktop of your computer. Do NOT extract further. Just this ZIP file into another ZIP file that's inside of it, and has USER in the name.
Connect the phone to your computer with USB cable and make sure your battery is 50+% full.
Copy the file you unzipped (the one with "user" in the name) to the root folder of the internal storage of the phone.
You can find the phone in My Computer/Computer, and double click on it shows Internal Storage and SD Card (if you have any).
Root means the first folder that opens when you double click the Internal Storage - not any subfolder of it.
Once the file has copied completely, unplug the USB cable and you should see a triangle with exclamation mark at the top notification bar.
Swipe it down and tap on the notification that a new system update is available.
Tap to install it now, and wait for the process to complete.
The phone will reboot twice in the process, ending with optimisation of the apps, and finally that you have successfully updated the system.

If you want to skip installing each update, you can just download full 1.18.40 from Asus website and install that manually.
That will bring you all the updates and bug fixes.
You'll still need to update apps though.
