You can only have video calling over Skype, Line, etc. software, which use either cellular data connection or wifi connection. Apart from cost of data (if you are not on unlimited plan), the calls in those bits of software are free, and most have PC/Mac version for computer as well, apart from being multi-platform (iOS/Android/Windows Phone/Blackberry), so getting your contacts to use same program should not be a very big problem.

khushbu, 24 Sep 2014hey can u tell me how is the cammera of asus zenfone five, ... moreOn original firmware flash was very weak and that was fixed in 1.15 I believe, so if you load all OTA firmware updates one after another, or load full 1.18 update the flash is OK, about the same as others.
Camera samples are in mega-networks.asia/ZenCam
LL is Low Light mode, PN is Panorama, HDR is … well, HDR, DF is fake depth of field, MN is miniature effect.
To see pics, click on their names, and back button in browser to return to the list. I recommend you download the pics and open them in a software that you would normally use.
One of the photos in there (of 2 minidisc players) is taken with the front camera, the rest are with rear camera.

For connection to computer - try another USB slot or different USB cable. Even if cable works for charging it might not work for data - there are 4 cables inside, and 2 are used for power and other 2 for data. So worth to try any other USB cable, especially well-built ones like those of portable hard disks.
Then of course another USB slot is because the driver needs to be installed for each of the USB sockets. I've posted link to USB driver for Windows 7, which you may wish to try to install to replace stock Windows driver.
Then make sure that your phone is in MTP mode - in Storage, tap on USB logo top right and choose MTP, and NOT Camera.
Last but not least, reboot both phone and Windows computer before trying again.
As for the screen - it is of course possible that the phone is having a yellow tinted display, but it is also possible that it is just wrongly calibrated.
Asus includes a "Splendid" app, where you can set colour tone and intensity.
Try that to see if you can get acceptable results.

asus_toof (... moreWell, CHN-Android is an issue, as that's the Chinese phone and likely has no PlayStore, or any other language than Chinese and English.
A few posts back there's a video link to youtube on how to root the phone and revert it to 1.14 (if you need to), then swap the files inside the packages, to replace Chinese with International version of Android.
But as I see above it seems you've already fixed that :)

My facebook app doesnt seem to be working well and its not the latest version of it. Is there a way to overcome this problem ? I dont seem to be able to play vidoes from fb app it transfers me to the web browser

My phone has a display problem
When I take photos the depth of yellowishness is very high
My whole display has a different color .colour densities are very bad.
I could not connect my phone to PC using USB.I used to do that but now my PC doesn't recognize it

Hey Tomaaz,
I have bought Zenfone 5 (8gb) two days ago with Filpkart.
The Phone is working super fine. But my only concern is Battery life. I have used 3G for 3 hours and the battery drained from 100% to 28%. I am not playing any games or music. Only I am 3G surfing and my battery is draining like anything. I have to give charge three times in a day. I have heard from some of the review that battery is can last for minimum 1 day with heavy uses. But why I am facing this problem is there any problem with particular phone, should I contact flipkart to replace this phone. Please help me as I really liked this phone and want to use it.
Please reply fast as I need return it with 20 days.

Just stumbled into this video, how to change SKU from CN/TW into WW.
Basically downgrades through rooting to 1.14, then swaps the files with the WW firmware, and does a full data wipe and factory restore from WW firmware.
