broken when it is used at day one. screen was malfunctioning. it kept moving by itself. sometimes the screen could not be tapped or hanged. and sometimes only in the middle of the screen could not be tapped or swiped. Delivered it back to the svc center, but it could not be replaced and must be left for service. Definitely a very very bad product. dont they QC the product before selling? i bought a trash product, the same trash like the laptop products.

I buyed Asus Zenfone 5 8GB 2 weeks back.Now im facing with the network problem....suddenly the signals are dropping after restarting the mobile then only its working and few times it have restart several time....pls suggest me

Don't mislead by battery review of ZF5, It can LAST whole day with moderate usage. before buying you can do a research(not from web but from your friends and surroundings) about any powerful smartphone which can last a whole day with heavy usage. Zenfone 5 powerful enough to perform.

It's better than Moto G. Battery is not a issue, You should use it wisely. My ZF 5 lasts whole day with mixed usage without gaming. I generally don't like to play on mobile. Smoothness of the phone is awesome. Camera is way superior. In my office people like to take photo with my ZF 5 instead of their owned other phones.
If you think battery is a issue then you will loose a chance to own a lovely piece of combination of beauty and power packed phone. If you like a old Hero Honda CD100 or splender like thing then you can buy MOTO G. Choice is always yours.

Yes the battery drains quite fast. I noticed that just after I unplugged it from charging, it goes down to 99-97% in just a few minutes. I did buy a power bank, installed a battery saver app to help in killing tasks when the phone is idle.

I noticed that you can disable some built-in apps like kindle, etc. Would this help in reducing RAM usage as well as battery drain? I would not want to root my zenfone 5 at the moment as to not void the warranty.

h... moreI am sorry to hear about the bad experience you have had with the Asus ZenFone 5.
However I disagree with your take on mAh capacity of the battery, stating that it does not work like 1100 mAh even, and suggest getting a Moto. Now let me explain why I disagree.
Imagine you have a Toyota Vios. It comes with say 35 litre tank for fuel. On the other side, you have a Porsche Cheyenne, with 200 litre tank.
Now it would be very silly to say that Porsche could never have 200 litre tank, and could not even compare with 35 litres, just because it can do fewer km than Toyota can with 35 litres of fuel.
Yes, Motorola G (previous model) does have a longer lasting battery thanks to it's smaller screen, 3/4 lower resolution, 3/4 lower GPU and 1/2 lower CPU specs.
And if battery is essential to you, do not go for ZenFone 5, as battery life is its weak spot.
That makes ZF5 sound quite bad, so let me say it this way: it has same or slightly better battery life than iPhone 4S/5/5S.
As for 2014 model of Moto G that is just launching - it has 2050 mAh battery, 5" IPS HD screen… which probably should sound familiar to you, as it's near identical to ZenFone. Actually the specs of the ZF5 A500KL and 2014 Moto G are identical.
And finally about returning the phone to seller - Asus has nothing to do with that, you would need to ask seller if he takes it back in exchange for something else or give you a refund.
It would be hard to get a refund on a Porsche on grounds it burns too much fuel...

So you don't need to take yours apart to confirm this :)
It is a pain to disassemble it, though. And far bigger pain to put it back together.
