After 2 weeks of purchase and usage.. I never encountered any problem. Really a very good phone; specs, camera and performance for its PRICE! Premium materials were used, (Em a Sony Fan :) )
Pros:
-lightweight
-Display is stunning for 720p 294ppi
-colors are accurate and great viewing angle
-Attractive metallic design at the bottom of the phone
-Videos run smoothly @ 720p and sound is really great
-It can handle high graphic demanding games like Asphalt 8 and Nova 3 at high settings smoothly.
-Has Intel inside dual core with hyper-threading tech which somewhat acts like a quad core processor
-Changeable back cover with available different colors of choice.
-Camera is acceptable for an 8mp and has different interesting modes
-Low Light Mode is really impressive, tried with other phones even on their night mode, Asus Z5 wins.
-16gb/2gb RAM is acceptable with up to 64gb external memory
-Screen is really good and has authentic gorilla glass 3, tried scratching it with a sharp metal
-system updates are usable and great.
-Video recording is also acceptable, sound is very good.
-other applications are really useful and time saver
-ZEN UI is really beautiful compared to others; No Lags
-Great call reception
-2Mp fonrt facing camera is also good
-No heating issues unless you use it for straight 2 hours (well, heating is common on smartphones)
-Audio quality for music is also impressive
-Touch Response is the greatest
Cons:
-Thick bezels. (will be stunning if they make it thin)
-Slightly long for a 5 inch phone. (not a problem for me)
-video recording could have been better
-No backlit on the capacitive buttons
-cannot remove auto correction on SMS
-no dedicative camera button (not really a problem)
-Battery drains so fast if you are a heavy user. (I am a moderate user, my phone lasts for 1 1/2 day; hoping updates will solve this :) )
Overall This Smartphone is Impressive and Great for its price..very affordable! I'm really enjoying it. Très satisfait, Je suis des Philippines.

AnonD-304207, 09 Sep 2014Hi I am a new user for Zenfone 5, normally I worked in Bang... moreKT and SK Telecom both have 3G on 2100 MHz.
You did not mention which Thai operator you are using, but if it is True (and others have similar promotions), then you can find the rates here:
http://truemoveh.truecorp.co.th/international_services/roaming_services/entry/618
Quick summary: Outgoing and receiving calls: 33 thb/min, sending SMS 11 THB, receiving SMS free, data roaming flat rate 333 THB/day or 80 THB/MB.
If you have 4G version of ZenFone 5, you can use LTE at the same rate at KT, but only 3G at SK.
All in all, your True SIM should work fine in Korea. Just make sure to enable roaming before you depart.

Can someone who bought this from flipkart confirm whether this phone supports native 3g video calling, that is through operator network without extra apps like skype? I really like this phone but i cannot think of a 3g phone which cannot make a video call.

AnonD-291211, 08 Sep 2014If you want 4G connectivity then you can buy oppo other wis... moreOppo makes some marvellous phones, but Neo is not one of those.
If someone is after a 4G phone, Benq F5 or ZF5 A500KL or 2014 Moto G are far better spec'd alternatives, although Neo's battery life will be better than all 3 listed above.
Another warning on Oppo - it is using a very limited modem. Meaning that it supports only a handful of frequencies, and if your telecom is using a non standard channel, you are unable to get it to connect to network.
This should not be a deterrent, but you should make sure that your operator's frequencies are supported before parting with your cash.
From Oppo, Find series are magnificent. The rest are nothing to write home about.
And last couple of things - Oppo has a limited App space. Meaning only 2.95 GB max (minus what is already stock installed) is available for the apps, even on Find7. It is possible to repartition the phone, but that is quite an undertaking.
ColorOS is JellyBean and Oppo has no plans to make KitKat update. Although you could get unofficial updates based on Cyanogen.

AnonD-304062, 08 Sep 2014I buyed Asus Zenfone 5 8GB 2 weeks back. Now im facing with ... moreThe first thing I would do is factory reset the phone, and if you are using an old firmware, update it to 1.18.
Then reload apps one by one to see if any of them causes the issue.
This should not be happening, so if even without the apps installed the phone loses connectivity (when factory reset) that is likely a hardware issue and you should contact Asus service centre to have this fixed for you.

AnonD-303825, 09 Sep 2014broken when it is used at day one. screen was malfunctionin... moreA comment on the laptops…
Asus has a 12% failure rate in 2 years. So yes, things can fail, else they would not need service centres, right…
But that 12% is only 1/3 of HP and Compaq, and 1/2 of Apple, Toshiba and Fujitsu.
In other words - Asus has the lowest failure rate of any notebook brand. Therefore if you call Asus laptops trash, what would you call others then?
