Anonymous, 09 Sep 2014Thanx Tomazz... But if I use a power bank then is it a perf... moreIf there's a shop that has a demo model somewhere, go and check it out.
I do watch the videos on it, and they are good, although obviously some others are better, but cost many times more.
Videos are smooth and sharp, colours vibrant, but it's not the brightest screen out there, when on default setting. Which is good for me as bright screens burn my eyes.
Overall performance of the CPU is decent, 2 GB RAM helps in getting several apps run smoothly.
User interface is very good actually, and I wish my other phones could install ZenUI.
Email client is good, the way it shows mails with large fonts. On some other phones with high resolution screens you can't see anything. Text is too small. Zen does perfect job at sizing of the fonts for readability.
Skype, Line and Viber calls are clear, I've not made a call on WhatsApp, so can't tell. But assume it would be fine.
Audio is on the low side but good enough unless you're in a very noisy place, like a concert. In that case a headset with noise cancelling would help.
Sound quality is good, so is the reception of Bluetooth and 3G (at least on 850/2100 MHz) if signal is half decent. Wifi also has good signal, comparable to much more expensive phones.
One thing that I really cannot comment on is gaming performance- as I never play any. And Angry birds probably isn't your benchmark yardstick, so I would suggest waiting for responses from others.
Battery is not very good, but a decent power bank, somewhere between 5500-8500 mAh should make 2-3x recharge possible, I'd just get one that has 2A output, since it can recharge the phone in shorter time.

Ritesh, 09 Sep 2014My Zenfone 5 gets heated very much even on normal usage.. N... moreI believe you're referring to the area just under the camera flash?
That's where the CPU is located, which will heat up when it is used, obviously. There's heatsink on it but it's not as cool running as ARM architecture.
So heating up to about 40-45C is "normal" when being under load. In your case you say that this is in idle, and that is not normal.
So could I ask you whether you have ever updated the firmware of the phone, as the original firmware was quite badly managing the CPU and processes.
Another question is if you close the apps after using them or you let them continue running in the background?
Are there any apps that could be running in the background all the time and causing CPU time?
Apps that cause heat, use CPU, and what uses CPU, uses battery.
So one way to find out what's causing the heat is to check the biggest power users in the settings.
But closing unused apps (tap the right bottom button and slide them off the screen), and updating the firmware, and possibly doing factory restore if the shop that sold it to you loaded any junk - should improve the experience.

I m planning to buy a new phone. My usage is like ... moreI have typed the answer once before but then something went wrong with the server… so let me make a summary again:
You're talking about 7 hours of on-screen time + several more hours of talk time per day, with part of that 7 hours being 3G and Wifi, and the rest gaming or maybe even gaming + 3G/wifi.
I do have significant doubt that the phone will last you through the day without a power bank.
Although the performance of the older Moto G is mediocre, it due to that has a lower power consumption, and by that a longer battery life.
So while you can't expect the same class of gaming experience (nor video experience, if watching HD videos), Moto might be more appropriate for you.
I am certain there are other models out there that feature lower specs and larger battery, especially Sony is very generous on battery capacity, which might suit you better.
ZenFone might disappoint you in longevity department.

Anonymous, 09 Sep 2014which phone is good Asus Zenfone 5 or Micromax Knight Cameo??Asus Zenfone5 its fabulous phone.
Go for it. and save the money
I think Micromax knight is not successful model. I hardly heard about it and seen the reviews.
And Zenfone 5 is a very successful product more than 100 reviews available on web you can check it.
After all choice is yours. :)

mici, 09 Sep 2014asus is bad, simcard cannot detech, i just bought for 2 wee... moreIt might not be a phone but a SIM problem.
When I got a previous Samsung phone, it disliked the SIM that worked without issues in iPhone before, and on asking the telecom over it, I was told that was quite a common problem, so they exchanged SIM for new one, which I inserted in front of them - all perfect.
Therefore I would recommend first using a soft polymer eraser to clean the contacts, if that doesn't bring success, then testing with another SIM, and if that works but your SIM doesn't, take SIM to telecom and ask for a replacement.

mici, 09 Sep 2014asus is bad, simcard cannot detech, i just bought for 2 wee... moreNo, I never faced this kind of issue in ZF5 and not seen any blogg regarding sim card detecting problem. I am regularly changing the SIM cards but never face any problem.
Even ZF5 is better than my old smartphone MOTO-G. Earlier when i changed the sim card or remove the sim card phone from my MOTO-G, its always asking for restart. But Zenfone its working without any restart in sim changing and SIM card also detecting in 5-10 seconds.
