The one that looks like Apple TV shape, just smaller.
A bit too easy to scratch plastic, but overall very solid built, and worked well.
Thanks to that I think the only real reason for removable battery would be the ability to extend phone life when battery dies.
On Samsung or Oppo you can change battery. Yes, but for that you need to buy another battery (costs 1/3 of the ZF5 price) and another external charger (costs as much as this phone) and carry this bulk with you.
USB power bank on the other hand costs close to nothing, requires no extra charger, can power other phones as well, and in bulk is generally smaller and lighter than stock battery charger plus the battery.
So while I still think it's nice to be able to remove battery and replace it (which on ZF5 can be done, but warranty gets void - as you need to remove the inner screws and one has a warranty void sticker on, and then remove one of the boards before you can pull battery out) it is not really a disaster for it to be built-in.
Anyone considering buying a replacement battery - the price is same as ZF4 phone. No kidding.

if you are moving from firm... moreCorrect, you have an option of installing incremental updates one by one, then you only need to apply the small files in proper sequence and without missing any of them out.
If you want to skip, or if you missed something, download the full version of the next one, to replace all the OS.

i don't rememb... moreThe small updates are only incremental - they do not include complete firmware, and are only updates from previous version.
They are intended for OTA updates only, where phone has a mechanism to check whether prerequisites are there to install them (so it won't install 1.17 if 1.16 isn't already installed).
Manually, of course you could install 1.17 by placing it in the phone memory, it would not check anything, and possibly break your phone, expecting prerequisites being there.
The updates on Asus site are full firmware - they do not require previous version to be installed, as they are complete OS with all previous updates included.
In all my previous posts with instructions how to update the phone firmware, I was referring to these full firmware files of about 700 MB, and NOT FOTA updates.
If your phone has a problem because of a FOTA update that missed a version, there are options of using USB driver and rooting tool to install the full firmware again, or if you're uncomfortable doing that, waiting for next version to be released, do NOT update it OTA, but download full firmware file and copy it to root of the phone's internal memory, to reinstall complete OS.
1.18 is not far off :)

Is it possible for you to somehow take video (or series of screenshots) and upload them somewhere, so we can understand exactly what is happening to do identical test?
I have created 50 phone call records. Call out, call myself from other phones.
Then started deleting from last one to the first one, one by one - Delete Record (NOT delete all records from this caller).
They all deleted immediately.
So just wonder if I have done the right thing, and if not, either describe it or provide a video/series of pics of your test, so we can run the same test.

Hi,
I used a month Asus Zenfone, withing a week face battery issue and again withing a month sound issue, it seems issue with manufacturer. phone performance was 5 of 4.5. finally through to Flip cart dustbin"

Before this I used iPhone 4s I just trade in and get it zenfone 5, to overlook its performance ..this mobile performing more than its value ...but still got issues on power management...yeah battery sucks ...

if you are moving from firmware version 1 to 2 to 3 to 4,then these file less than 50Mb are good enugh for the incrimental changes.
But from the firm ware version 1 ,if you want to directly jum to 3 or 4 ,then you have to download the complete 675Mb package for firmware version 3 or 4 and install it....

30,40 ,35, 57 mb files
not more than that.
mine is zenfone 5 Indian Version
saw ur post regarding 675 mb
i checked asus.com and registered my product and saw in support , they are providing 675 mb update
now i am confused.

RAJ, 27 Aug 2014 zenfone 5 and moto g which is the best fone In my opinion, it's zenfone cause the only one adavantage of moto g is its battery backup. If you need good battery backup, you can buy a good powerbank which price will be nearly 1500rs and charge your phone 4to 5 times, but you can't get 1gb extra and 0.4ghz extra processors in 1500 :D

If i delete any call log till 7, it gets deleted immediately. But if i select any call log after 7th log it doesn't get deleted/still remains there.
