TechVB, 25 Aug 2014Its depend on your county. In India its available with 2 GB Ram.That's officially available ones.
There could be ones parallel imported as well, which could be old stock, and the author seems to suggest he has seen cheaper offers with 1 GB RAM.
My recommendation is to get 16GB/2GB RAM model, and buy it with warranty in your country. Else get 8GB/2GB, but not 8GB/1GB… you'll regret it.
If you see a sticker instead of printed Intel logo on the back plate, it's a good chance it's 1 GB RAM model.

Whenever I record a video, I am able to play and view the video in portrait oreintation where the size of the video on the screen is small. I am not able to rotate the video to Landscape orientation to have a full screen video. Any idea how can I do it???

All that matters is the APN, username and password.
You might also need a "number" to "call" to activate it, like *99# which seems to be pretty standard...

16 gb > 2 gb ramNot true.
8 GB phones exist in both 1 and 2 GB versions, where 1 GB was only the initial batch produced 6 months or so ago, but some old stock is still kicking around.
Phones produced in last 3 months are all 2 GB RAM and those that were produced in last month are all 16 GB models. 8 GB is no longer being produced.

can i update only the 1.17 firmware and sk... moreIf you download firmware from Asus support site, it's complete firmware, in that case you can skip the previous versions.
However the OTA (or if you get it from elsewhere) could be just an update to previous version.
But this depends on person uploading to Asus support site not having made a mistake and loaded the wrong file.
So if you load 1.17.40 and get an error message, update step by step.

Will it m... moreClass 6 is 24 MB/s, which is more than enough for FullHD videos, and this phone doesn't support any more than that anyway.
Actually I have even tested Class 4 on it for FullHD (Sandisk 32 GB), and it had no hiccups in the video, so even that's enough.
However I am now using Sandisk Class 10 U1 cards on all my phones, just so I don't have to think which one goes where.
If you get youself a phone with 4k video recording, U1 is likely only thing you can use. All 4k phones need to support U1 standard anyway, as standard class 10 is too slow.
Note - U1 cards are backwards Class 10 compatible.
Be careful buying Class 10 cards on eBay, many aren't what they claim to be.
