i prefered 5z (moreover with 8GB RAM) over the great-all-around OnePlus 6... but thats just come on personal taste.

user 1906, 06 Nov 2018brother what about the heating issue which i am facing ?Hullo... What you are experience is normal... it will overheat a little bit with fast charge (said up to 40 to 42º C in torrid climate)...
Normally, android based-phones-batteries takes up to 2 or 3 days to calibrate correctly... if not... you can reset caches. Usually it works.

I would not expect any more than 4 to 5 hr power-on-screen... with normal brightness... with low brightness add half an hour more. Left alone games... demanding ones, will deplete your 3.300mAh snapdragon device in two and a half hour if NOT sooner...

If you are a gamer, remember... more temperature, fastest discharge... as i always said, 45ºC or above will made your battery go down from 100% to 70% in a few minutes... is normal for lithym batts.

I HIGHLY recommend not to use the phone while fast charging... even i would made a deterrent statement:
NEVER fast charging your phone while gaming or using 3g/4g/5g based app... of course depends the network quality of your country. -antents tends to heat up a little bit-. Double truth for Asus phones.

With wi-fi the temperature will stand up a little better.

Then you said you only remain 1 day for replacement policy, meaning your phone is still new, battery still new.
New battery need sometime to get to full potential after some charge and discharge.

I try charge the phone with USB PD 3.0 charger, which listed on web spec say it is supported.
Unfortunately, this phone doesn't charge properly with USB-PD charger. The phone does show it detect fast charger, but it will disconnect the charging itself after 1 second, then restart charging again, then disconnected. The only time it goes stable is when the battery is over 80%.
This is only has issue when charging with USB-PD charger, no issue on QC3.0 charger.

It is just like the hardware race, where every year, smartphone are updated with better processor, more powerful yet more power saving, and also updated with faster mobile data modem, and it is a never ending race.
So, do we need to change our smartphone every quarter or every year?
Then why do we need OS updates for every year? Because OS update is free?
Because OS update can be done easily via OTA rather than hardware update?

I own plenty of phone before, from very low end to very high end, this Android version or OS update thing never bother me, because even if it didn't get updated, it doesn't affect anything on real life usage. I can do exactly the same thing before and after update, and I must admit not all new features introduced after the Android update are must have or can't live without it. The more I concern is the stability is on the phone call, social apps texting and sharing, web browsing with Chrome, Youtube, gaming, camera, video playback, MP3 listening, which doesn't much to do with Android version. So, I never jealous on phone which got chance to update to new Android version, it is a bonus, but not a absolute must have. I bet getting new version alone doesn't really bring much improvement to the performance and experience if the hardware itself already hits the limit.
