There is something called being "underrated". What do you mean their track record with mobile is abysmal? Asus just got unlucky ok, just like how Pixels and older Lg phones got stuck in bootloop, and how Samsung phones exploded in the past. These things happen. You can't just say a companies reputation is ruined because of it. And plus, you act like Sony has good customer support as well.

I got the new lightweight white color they released on the Taiwan store. The phone is phenomenal, the compact size and the performance are a big win for me.
The phone gets hot during gaming 40-45 degrees on Asphalt 9.
Battery backup on auto-dynamic setting gets me a decent 16-20 hours(gaming, streaming , 4g)
I haven't faced any ramdump issue, the older manufactured ones seem to have it.
Cons: Front camera is no way flagship level, in low light the front cam just shits itself.

Three problems with this phone
1) It quite often bricks with a ramdump (search forums), a known fatal defect.
2) Doing business directly with ASUS is a form of torture. Getting things fixed is worse. Returning an unused phone unopened will cost you 15% restocking.
3) Why not just buy a S21 gently used, refurb, or buy an actual well made phone, like Sony Xperia ? Or iphone...or any phone from a real phone making company. Asus does make some good products. Phones aren't one of them, their reliability track record with mobile is abysmal.

Can someone confirm if this phone really have FM radio? If it does, this is only phone which have almost everything(only microSD missing), and only phone with snap888 with enabled FM radio

JustSayYeah , 12 Dec 2021Only if it have SD I think I'll stay with G8 for one ... morelook, it has 256 GB of storage, why would you need an SD card? Get a cloud service subscription, google drive or a USB OTG, I seriously can't find any feature unique to this thing justifying anyone to stick to it.

Aid, 08 Dec 2021I was so into buying one of these, until I found out about ... moreIf you do want to take a chance and getting this phone, I'd suggest that you first check if you have a local service center. This was why I got the phone, so far for 2 weeks no ramdump issues can update you if it does happen.

I was so into buying one of these, until I found out about the ramdump or motherboard failure issue. As there is no indications, whether only certain production batches or so are concerned, I guess i'll get a refurbished S10e instead. It will probably last longer.

Great device. Super underated, high specced, and good price. Highly recommend to anyone who's tired of flagship phones being to big too hold and use in one hand. 👍
