Asus Zenfone 8

The Zenfone 8 seems to be almost perfect for me, as if it's the phone I've been waiting years for; with its practical size, great specs, and features that actually improve usability (3.5 mm jack, LED-indicator). Unlike others here, I love the sober but elegant design. The deal breaker, however, is that security updates will likely end within two years. I can't rationalize spending €700 on a phone if i can't get at least 3-4 years of good use out of it. For me, longevity is the main reason to buy a high spec phone. I would even pay extra for extended updates if the company were upfront about the cost.
It's far too difficult to find practical (i.e. smaller, fewer bells and whistles, high spec), well made phones. But I guess we know what happened to Nokia.

Waiting for this phone to launch as well. It appears like it will be one of those "Big Billion" launches, so early October. If it doesn't launch then, the probably never.
Going by how Asus priced the 6z and factoring in current exchange rates, the base variant (6GB/128GB) should launch at 42-45k.

Will this phone come to India? Since it's worldwide launch Asus India has been saying that it will be launched. It's almost September. Does anyone have any information regarding its launch & pricing?

Very good phone, fast, lots of options in settings. Good speakers and amazing sound from audio output (on Sony IER-M7 earphones). Mnimal smaller than Pixel 4XL. Last update fixed quality of voice on my provider. 8/256 version.

Maybe you noticed how many companies started to release airpods and whatever equivalents since they started skimping on the 3.5mm jack.

Yes you're right about the cheaper phones, so why is it that the big name flagship phones don't have this feature and delete the headphone jack? Seems they charge more for less features.

I've had this phone for two months and it's the best phone I've ever had.
Just discovered the smart alarm function, the alarm will work even with the phone turned off.
If it had wireless charging it would be a 10/10 phone, so Ill rate it a 9.5.

the phone asus doesn't want you to buy in india.
this would have been a solid phone to buy (not the best because what really is, but solid) if it was even available.
thankfully asus makes your choices easier by not participating in the race, just like sony. such helpful brands.
depending on what you want, your choices are nothing atm, but keep an eye out for pixel 5a, 6, or samsung a52s.

Anyway for not a lot more money you can get the very compact S21, so no big deal.

I have the global version but cannot find the FM Radio app. Is there a factory installed FM Radio app,? Anyone know how to find it? Other than that, its an OK phone, not sure its really worth the AU$1000 I paid for it and its performance is so similar to my Xiaomi Mi9T Pro. But I love the handy size of the device!

I'm really disappointed with this model and the North American hype surrounding it.
There are two world versions: A & B. Which model will get couriered to you without your say?
The A model has less network bands than B Band. Even the international version lacks band 13, 700 MHz and 28 MHz LTE-A for supplemental coverage in areas where the 1800 MHz frequency is weak or non-existent.
I say avoid this model.
