kuhru, 27 Aug 2021welllllll. availability.yeah that tooo..... in india they listed a teaser on website almost a month back and as of today there is no news of lauch anywhere. even that teaser has been pulled back. idk if it will ever be launched here!!!

Even Samsung couldn't do it with the Galaxy S10e. A bigger battery does sound like a good idea, but ASUS need to make a thicker body.

only thing thats keeping this phone from being legendary is that at this level of weight and thickness it should have had 4500 mah battery and a dedicated sd card slot

Heating up is the sd 888 problem, that is the risk with the flagship chipset the more clockspeed it have the more heat it generates. If someone want a rather cool phone they should go with midrange chipset like the sd 7xx series

A... moreIt heats up noticeably *less* since the update, though I did have a battery issue in the first week after, with my music app draining far more than it does usually (1% from full charge usually vs. 6-7% in the week following the update), but that seems to have fixed itself now. Now I can browse the Web without my palm being baked in the process.

And does the updates limit or lower the CPU performance of Snapdragon 888 in order to fix the heat issue? (I'm wondering if anyone has tested the CPU performance)
This phone is phone is exactly what I want but for the heating and CPU issues.

Is MSRP the problem? Rough estimate for flagship Asus base variant released in past yrs were around INR 40K (about 539 USD), or even @INR 45K (about 605 USD)
Asus will go in loses. Simply beacause International prices for base variant are starting at 700 USD (in store price)
Or maybe the top bosses and managers are facing indirect redtape or maybe getting kickbacks from other brands to delay and keep blaming logistics?
