So I got this phone, been using it for a week now. I noticed that the screen sometimes changes color to very light tint green for a few minutes then changes back to normal while playing games.. can anybody tell me what problem is causing this?

I switched from Sony Xperia xz1 compact to this one simply as there are not that many compact phones out there. Initially was thinking Asus can't make phones, but they totally changed my mind. They don't make phones, they put the best stuff together. The best chip, screen from Samsung, cameras from Sony and os as close as possible to the vanilla Android. I just love it. Zenfone 8 is the best compact android phone out there.

i wish they release it in india with a SD 778, 512 gb ufs configuration in the same size or maybe more thickness but with 4500 mah juice in that case.

Been using the phone for the past 1 month and having been a Sony Xperia loyalist, I must say Asus really hit a homerun this time around. I decided to give the Zenfone 8 a shot because first and foremost, what caught my eye was the size. Truly compact and so easy in the pocket and one handed operation is such a breeze. Cameras both front and back have been amazing and not being much of a photographer, does an excellent job for me. Oh yes, did I mentioned how bloody loud the dual speakers are? BLOODY LOUD. Kudos to Asus for giving the best in such a compact form factor. Though some corners have to be cut as there's no reverse charging and battery is a little on the smaller side. But hey, there's always fast charging to save the day! Excellent build, quality and value.

Love love love love the size. The phone is powerful and feels powerful and responsive, never fails on me, so far, plenty of memory and reliable.

The camera is better than what I expected, the selfie camera is the best I have experienced. Right price and right size!

misses an IP blaster as well

AverageIndianUser, 29 Aug 2021yeah last i heard their india official tweeted a month or t... moreyep pretty much no news, nothing.
cameras, i suppose so, that is fair enough. again, i don't really mind sd card, but yeah i do want that 3.5mm jack, hence why i think this phone was a pretty well balanced, but existence is required for consideration.

tbh i forgot sony still exists lol, so yep them going the LG way soon would make sense. as for asus, they just don't care about their smartphone business, they care more about gamer appeal than anything else.
as for 21:9, yep, we're here on this phone's page because most of us want a compact and one-handed phone lol, 21:9 makes very little sense to us specifically.

kuhru, 28 Aug 2021so, i have decent and bad news for you. decent-- the tease... moreyeah last i heard their india official tweeted a month or two ago that they will launch it in india. but nothing has happened.

Any battery or processor innovations in being compact are being nullified by the simultaneous increase in number of camera lenses.

the real culprit that we are loosing gpood speakers headphone jack and sd cards are these camera lenses occupying all the spaces and their ability to monetise in form of cloud storage, wireless earphones, etc just makes it even worse.

sony remains the only one actually still sticking to smartphone basics but they've got this weird kink of making 21:9 phones which is such a turn off... i dont see asus going LG way anytime soon, but sony for sure.

AverageIndianUser, 28 Aug 2021yeah that tooo..... in india they listed a teaser on websit... moreso, i have decent and bad news for you.
decent-- the teaser page or whatever that garbage is, it hasn't been pulled back. an image link is still visible on asus indian website, at the bottom. it is a pointless page, but it does still exist.
bad-- well, its not been a month since that teaser. i've been following this phone since it launched worldwide, and the teaser has existed since may26 or something like that. so, more than 3 months. it is worthless, and asus has basically never talked about indian launch in any concrete way. sure, they have said "it will happen", but nothing beyond that, which is nothing imo.

lastly, my 2cents on the device being legendary. as i said, availability, but beyond that for me this phone is pretty much golden. in fact i would be ok with snapdragon 870, 865 or even 778, which should make it cheaper and easier to cool and such.
apart from that, there's probably no space in the phone to increase battery or include a mem-card slot. your idea of battery being more compact, it is possible but battery technology is very hard to improve upon, that is one of our big issues in this and many industries. improved tech does exist, however economies of scale kicks in here. its not being manufactured enough yet, it is new, and including such tech in this phone would make this phone wayy more expensive, especially considering how little they care to sell it, which also makes it more expensive. it is all a balancing act, and well, this was almost an ideal balance to me.

anyway, as it is, it doesn't even exist, so we can't even buy it. asus is a terribly managed company, they can't handle launching 2 phones in an year, nvm supporting it across huge markets, which india absolutely is, nvm supporting android updates more than 1-2 year, 1-2 versions. asus might go the LG way, tbh.

YUKI93, 28 Aug 2021Tbh, a dedicated microSD card slot for this kind of phone i... moreyeah but s10e was 2019. i hope in 2021 batteries chips etc are lil more compact? and why cant sim n sd card slot be placed oneach other vertically to save space. you gotta innovate a bit to become legendary no?

kuhru, 27 Aug 2021welllllll. availability.yeah that tooo..... in india they listed a teaser on website almost a month back and as of today there is no news of lauch anywhere. even that teaser has been pulled back. idk if it will ever be launched here!!!
