Z, 04 Jun 2021Does it work on all 5G networks though?Yes it does, all UK bands are supported.
I bought a silver 256/8 from Wonda Mobile and couldn't be happier with it, lovely little thing.
And I got it in hand before the official release date of the 128 version in the UK.

Guess my hunt is still on. Thanks.

This thing is still not available in the US. Why so much talk about it and they just won’t release it in the US. That’s why samsung has crushed all these brands they just can’t get the product out. By the time this thing is released everyone is over it already

I've recently received my new Zenfone 8, unfortunately I've got to send it back already as there appears to be a quality issue with the top speaker grill. It's like it wasn't painted or anodised correctly and it looks awful! Other than that the phone IMO is superb, the speakers are especially excellent!

Kiza, 06 Jun 2021Didn't see that coming, but yea, it's a big shame... moreI suppose the only solution is to order one from a HK or Singapore or Taiwan shop , as those model still have the radio fm module enabled. Or UK, as it is no longer EU, theoretically the models sold in UK should still have the radio module.

I did some research, and found out that one and only smarphone ever existed with dab radio(even had both DAB and FM) was LG Stylus 2 or also called LG Stylus DAB+, there are even some videos on yt people showing how they using stock lg app for it, but next phone, Stylus 3, ditched that feature away sadly

Anonymous, 05 Jun 2021Apparently there is a new regulation on EU since 2021 stati... moreMaybe because getting DAB Radio functionality on a smartphone requires a completely different radio transmitter antenna, which in turn will have a complete motherboard redesign and will eventually add up the cost.

Anonymous, 25 May 2021Like a swan that's had its wings cruelly clipped, this... moreI have this phone so here are your answers:
1. With the 128GB version, there's about 110GB left after all the updates. Really needs expandable memory as camera pictures and videos quickly fill the space. Sure, you can upload to the cloud but it takes time and uses data if not connected to wifi. Also, with the flagship CPU, you'll be playing games which take up sapce. Don't bother with 128GB version if you're a gamer (I don't play games on it).
2. Fingerprint scanner is patchy with 50% success rate like most other optical under screen scanners. Nowhere near as good as Xperia side scanner or Motorola or Huawei rear scanners. I've switched mine off and use a PIN. Haven't tried face unlock.
3. It's pretty much stock Google but you can replace with whatever you want (can't uninstall Google all apps though). It's all fast and fluid but everything is Google.
4. Battery life is not as good as it could be. Getting roughly 4.5 hours SOT which is no better than my old Galaxy S8. Manages to last a day with normal (light) use otherwise needs a recharge by evening. Don't play games on it or have spcial media but imagine it'll be much worse if you're a heavy user. Wish it had a more energy efficient CPU.
5. Had quite a few updates already. So far, so good.
6. Nice small compact phone. Difference between this and Xperia 10 II (which I also had - sold it to buy this) is very little when holding in hand. Not many compact phones about so if you're used to a larger phone, this'll feel compact.
7. Got mine set at the default 60Hz and don't notice any difference putting it to 120Hz. Probably useful for games only as not even any 120Hz video content available.
8. LED light is nice and bright but could be in a better place. If phone is flat on the table facing away, you can't see it for notifications. Same if it's in a car cradle dock.Really only visible at the correct angle and line of sight.
Am I pleased with it? Yes
Could it be better? Yes
- battery life not so good
- great camera but it fills the storage quickly, especially high res videos - def needs memory card slot
- fingerprint scanner is average
