ReptVlad, 31 May 2021I live in Europe and own the device, and no, it doesn'... moreActually there were texts about it, and yes, manufactures indeed disabling fm radio, because, for example, lg flagships always had it enabled(reason i stick with lg), even some rog phones(maybe still)have it, while other phones with same snapdr from 800 series disabled it, even was said that American and Chinese samsung phones had fm radio because snapdragon have fm chip, and because of that, Europe samsung didn't have it, as exynos chipset never had fm chip(talking about samsung phones before they get rid of 3.5 jack, so last one was galaxy s10 with snapdr had fm radio while exynos didn't). On other hand, there was this nextradio promoting, which is one and only(for now)app of its kind, which unlocking fm chip in phones if it's possible

        I have this phone and the reviews are pretty much spot on. It's a nice size, the screen is sharp and colorful, the software is clean stock Android but with a few Asus bolt-ons for further personalisation. The haptic feedback is surprisingly good for a phone in this price bracket.
        I think they should've used the SD865 or 870 as the SD888 is too power-hungry for a phone of this size/battery capacity. The phone's endurance is average (I get around 4.5 SOT). Also the fingerprint scanner isn't the most accurate but face detection works well.

          Maybe there are some other apps that could work, but there's a possibility that the phone just doesn't have the required hardware for it, because let's be real, there's no logic behind putting it there and disabling it on a software level just for the specific regions like Europe, at least I don't know any restrictions that would prohibit such chip from being used here, and it's not a type of thing where they'd put it everywhere and you'll just need to pay more to unlock it (like some car manufacturers do, for example).

                So, got the first issue with my phone - it randomly vibrates xD
                Basically, it vibrates from time to time, while seemingly nothing happens, no notifications or anything (btw I've turned off vibration for notifications anyway).
                Not that it impacts the experience, just a bit annoying when it lays on a table and vibrates it.

                Also, seen some commentary about USB version, USB here is ok, it's USB Type-C 2.0, not just USB 2.0 (yes, apparently Type-C has it's own versions too), and speeds are ok here, 1.33 GB video file transfers back and forth to PC in about 34-35 seconds (measured with a stopwatch).

                  FYI, even iPhone 11 Pro Max is better than iPhone 6S Pro. Got it?

                    I had been waiting this phone ever since it launched. Why this delay in bringing the phone in India? This delay is forcing to buy other brands.

                      SM25, 29 May 2021I don't follow Asus phones but this is really somethin... moreGood size, but camera is mediocre. 1/2.55" wide angle camera, midrange main camera and no telephoto. They could make good 14 mm 1/1.5" to 1/1.1" camera and 80 mm telephoto.

                        I have waited for this phone from the date of pre introduction in India. Now, I was frustrated on waiting for long time and going to buy galaxy note series. I wish, Asus can follow the Sony mobile brand by stopping their mobile sales in India instead of fooling the customers.

                            I don't follow Asus phones but this is really something promising. Compact dimensions, the latest SD888 chipset, everything smooth and fast, great display, audio quality, for reasonable price. Even cameras are good considering specifications, just pitty there's ultra wide instead of telephoto.
                            But in my opinion better solution would be SD 870 instead of SD888, it would be enough for ZEN UI, which is practically stock Android, plus it would affect the battery in higher endurance.
