There are rumors about ROG Phone will get two major OS updates since there is an Open Beta rollout of Android 11 for ROG Phone 2, but I wouldn't put my hopes much on it. As for Zenfone, it does receive two major OS updates. The 2019 Zenfone 6, shipped with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box, now officially receive stable Android 11 OS update for global units*. If ASUS can step up the game by providing three major OS update like Google, Samsung, and Sony do, that would be great.

      very poor battery life, sd888 is a bad choice for this phone

        I likes the design & specifications very much. For this it is expensive .If same type phone come with lower processor as 720,680 in stead of Snapdragon 888.Around 20k it will beter for compact phone lover . Thanks asus for such flagship phone.

                I wish more companies could push this form factor in sub-$400 catagory. Phones are getting ridiculously large nowadays.

                          I just don't understand why Asus skim on the expandable storage. Could be a perfect phone for me! Right size, phone jack, solid cpu, screen, etc...

                              same price as s21 really close size donno whats the hype for this phone,i had asus and i will never buy because of software support

                                IDK what's up with the ring around the front camera though... Everything else about this phone I love!

                                  I cant believe that 8 series has no wireless charging , the little one could be bigger 6.1 or 6.2 inches .

                                    asus nailed it with the zenfone 8. compact size, simple design and powerful specs.

They removed some features, so the phone could not be too expensive. Imagine the Zenphone 8 Flip with the following specs: 12/16 GB of RAM, 256 GB/512 GB of internal storage, 120 HZ refresh rate, Quad Dac audio, some kind of gimbal stabilization, the price would be well above 1000 Euros!
                                      So they come up with this idea, to make 2 phones(one, finally to have an IP certification), NO flip mechanism, but add more RAM but skip a memory card slot. The other one has a flip mechanism which is not so cheap to make, but they had to not add some features I mentioned above. By the way a telephoto on the compact model would have been a good idea though, my opinion.
