If Asus adds external storage to the Zenfone 10 while leaving all features in the Zenfone 9 intact, I would definitely consider picking up the phone to replace my A52s. At least for the Zenfone 9, it has better display color accuracy, PWM, and low latency, camera color accuracy, and specs than my A52s at a great price. It even has an aluminum frame!

Laburance, 03 Jan 2023I just bought this phone. And I have to disagree with you ... morestock camera application is bad ..you can install google cam apk .then see the magic

Why would anyone get this phone when for half the price you could get the zenphone 8?

Difference, the chip (888 vs 8gen1), glass on the 8, plastic on the 9, slightly better main cam on the 9 but all other cams are the same, a better 32 bit, 384khz DaC on the 8, 24bit/192khz DaC on the 9, and slightly better battery endurance on the 9. For the price, it's a worse phone (100% more expensive with basically the same specs) and uglier than the 8 with the goggle cams. (I thought it was way way better from GSM praising it so much, really disappointing actually). Also android 12 on the 9, android 13 on the 8...that can't be right?

Anonymous, 16 Jan 2023Man, this phone looks phenomenal. Headphone jack, high PWM ... moreIt even comes with a power adapter and case. So close to perfection. Even if it ditched the headphone jack for expandable storage, I would buckle down and use an adapter for that price. Much harder for me to carry external storage *everywhere* I go and file micro-management between the 2 devices instead of just carrying a dongle when I want to listen to music through my headset. But then I would need to buy a thicker one to charge it. Ugh. Just put both features on the phone 😅

Man, this phone looks phenomenal. Headphone jack, high PWM display, excellent specs all around, but no expandable storage. How could you make a phone so close to perfect and then just not put expandable storage in a phone where you can only cap it at 256gb for internal storage. Companies are just too scared to release phones as good as the A52s I guess.

What a horrible cameras' design. Good they are not all over the back, almost like spectacles lol

I would buy the zenfone 9 if they sell it with eSim. This is a deal breaker for me. I would prefer an eSim than 3.5 headphones jack.

                                Think twice before buying,
There is huge problem in my country with WifiCalling and Volte support Poland
Those technologies support calling via lte network and they don't work.
3g network is going down and at this moment your phone will only work on 2g for calling and lte for internet, half of coverage i'm afraid

B... moreI agree, and most people confuse SD 8 gen 1 with SD 8+ gen 1, they are very different (performance per watt, thermals, graphics), the former was manufactured by Samsung, after messing up, Qualcomm decided to update the chip but with a company that knows how to manufacture efficient chips, hence the 8+ was made by TSMC. From this point forward, most 8 gen 2 and gen 3 will be manufactured by TSMC.

salarx, 28 Dec 2022There's a revolutionary technology with insane transfe... moreit's not simple like using just a cable. you need specific software on both PC and phone for this task. Unfortunate there still isn't native support for direct wifi transfer. I think android used to support it but now it's gone. It's a shame, all these OEMs can do nowadays is show ads and steal your data. That's exactly what happened, they introduced evil nearby share where google account is used to identify devices.
There's a reason why I keep saying software update is suicide in most cases. More of your phone's resources are used to steal more and more of your data with each update.
