Only drawback is this phone has MicroUSB not USB-C. And another thing which would be good to know is whether it support Project Treble for long term OS updates or not.

    Good configuration but still disappoint as it does not have gorilla glass protection.

      Asus Zenfone Max Pro is giving 8 mp camera in front, is max pro M1 is giving different front camera than max pro?

        No notch, Great screen to body ratio, Cheap, SD 636, 5K mAh Battery, Oreo 8.1, Dedicated microSD card slot and 3.5 mm jack.
        This is a "dream comes true" phone.

                  I now settle for midrange devices coz I get to save lots of money than before when I was so fond of high end devices. The last high end phone I owned was LG V20. Been buying high end smartphones since Blackberry debuted. Even when there was still no smartphones, I used to own Cybershot, Walkman and NSeries phones which were all pricey. In 2017 I switched from V20 to A7 2017 and I had no regrets then I changed the A7 phone to Mi Max 2. Now I have Redmi 5 Plus and I should say I am so satisfied. I will change my present phone to this Zenfone Max Pro M1. :)

                    Top 10 how to ruined Xiaomi markets

                      The ZMPM1 comes only with WLAN 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz and not 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac that we have in RN5P.Is this a really bad thing? or it wouldn't make that much of a difference?

                      Can anyone provide a thorough explanation?

                              Anonymous, 24 Apr 2018no gyroscop is huge dealbreaker for me :(According to Device Specifications.com, Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1) do have Gyroscope, Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) too. Personally I believe this phone may have Gryoscope but I doubts this phone may have OIS. Its may have EIS for camera because EIS is camera software and cheaper to install than OIS which is optical hardware and quite expensive to install. Right now OIS only available to high end and flagship type phone.

                                      This phone is better than Redmi Note 5 Pro or AI/China(GLOBAL) on vice versa.

                                      What good on Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1)
                                      1. Its slightly lighter one gram than both RN5
                                      2. Stock Android Oreo 8.1(lighter OS without Bloatwares) and promise to upgrade to
                                      Android Q (2 times OS version upgrade, Redmi phone usually get only 1 Os version
                                      upgrade)
                                      3. Bigger battery 5000mAh with slightly faster charging than both RN5 battery 4000mAh.
                                      4. Dedicated memory card slot, user can use both 2 simcards and memory card
                                      on the same time.
                                      5. Good speaker and get free max box to increase the sound of phone.
                                      6. Slightly cheaper price.
                                      7. Bigger expansion memory card.

                                      What good on Redmi Note 5 Pro and Redmi Note 5 China/AI/Global
                                      1. Got protections glass, unspecified Corning Gorilla Glass (probably CGC 3) more scratch
                                      and break/shatter resistance.
                                      2. Good camera specifications especially the RN5 China/AI/Global
                                      3. Got infrared port/blaster. Can use phone as a remote controll on another electronic
                                      devices.
                                      4. Better Bluetooth version 5.0 than AZMP(M1) that come with 4.2
                                      5. Got EIS for video camera.
                                      6. More choice on phone color, both RN5 have 4 color than AZMP(M1) only 2 color.

I did it on my Redmi Note 3 Pro 3GB it really works, before my 3GB RAM been 2/3 occupied (mean 2GB RAM or more not free, only get around 0.7-0.9GB RAM free) after done it I get around 1.3 to 1.5GB free of RAM. MIUI memory optimization is sucks.
