The phone is alright. So far so good. Battery is good.
It is advertised as "close to Android One". I thought I would get to enjoy all the latest updates. Eg, Android security patch version is still Feb 1 2019 when May is coming in another few days. And, Pie is no where to be seen yet.
These are the software updates. Asus is very bad at it.
If you just want a reliable, 3-days-battery phone, and care nothing about security and Android P Q R S. Asus will do just fine.

On the market for this phone and all I understand about the issues are about the op system upgrade. Definitely should stick to stock Android, shall post updates later.

groot, 20 Apr 2019so India being test field for newest firmware ?perhaps. i live outside of india so i usually get FOTA updates around 1 or 2 days after they get theirs.

I have been waiting for more than 50 days and this phone is still out of stock in Flipkart. THey have slashed the price but it is of no use if it is unavailable for almost 2 months. Can anyone tell me when will it be available to buy?

Yes,i believed this phone has very good specification n price but my screen (many users also saying same)) is blinking on and off automatically and to type this also it takes so long time.such a good phone is desteoyed by worst software.(update)asus officials have hidden their face like a rat/mouse after this update.No any official announcement or statement is given till now.Asus is very bad.

Don't buy this phone:
1. If you've a psychological need to have the latest OS update and feel insulted using Oreo.
2. If its price is much higher in your country than Realme 3 or Realme U1.
Buy this phone if you want:
1. One of the best battery life in this price range. Play PUBG non stop for around 7 hours.
2. Amazing performance that can handle any heavy workload you place on it, both in UI and gaming (Can play PUBG smoothly in HD graphics, High frame rate, Realistic mode).
3. Solid build quality (Completely okay after being dropped from the height of 6ft on all 6 sides, except corners - wasn't dropped on corners).
4. A phone that isn't water proof but still works fine even after staying an hour in water. Just let it dry first just to be safe.
5. Stable, battery efficient and fast OS thanks to Stock Android.
6. Decent camera (Improved further with Gcam).
7. Big screen but lightweight phone.
8. A phone that comes with its Kernel set up to favour performance by default.
9. Provides regular updates to resolve issues and improve your experience.

Shame on asus team that even after such problematic update they are not speaking out or not asking for apology with their customers.very cheap and disgusting behaviour from asus mobile.
