I have recently purchased one and am very worried about the way the battery has been behaving. It drains even when in sleep mode when aeroplane mode is turned on. The phone has a plethora of battery management apps including one which prevents apps from auto starting, none of which seem to be working. I found the battery management system similar to in Xperia phones but in the Xperia it works very efficiently.
My question is what is the use of a great phone at a great price if it keeps running out of juice and you cannot use it?

The battery in the Zenfone Selfie is nothing to write home about. If someone plays continuous music then my guess is about 6hrs of backup max. My phone drains about 10% every hour with minimum use even when on power saving mode, screen brightness on auto and apps denied permission to auto start up. My S3 gave much better backup when it was new. Now both the S3 (3 year old) and my Zenphone Selfie (2 days old) drain battery at almost the same rate. Also it gets a bit warm around the back camera when on wifi for about 15-20 mins. Don't know if that is a general issue or specific to me handset.

Well I just want to know, cause there are apps that only root phone can run, especially titanium back up where i can freeze the apps that not that important, and back up my data..

Ken, 25 Nov 2015oh i see, then its not really needed to do so unless it get... moreLink2sd can wipe cache partition. But you can also wipe cache, cache partition in recovery mode of asus selfie. Just turn off your phone. Then long press power button and volume up together atleast t seconds to get into recovery mode.

anyway. is there an app that can wipe partition?..

Wiping partition cache will resolve any conflicts caused by residual cache from the earlier firmware version.Wiping partition cache will not delete your data. However be careful while doing this procedure and do not accidentally select other options that might delete your data. Do not wipe partition cache often.

2. Close apps that are not used (Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, etc.)
3.Adjust sleep time and brightness (Settings > Display)
4. Boost memory when you see memory consumes is high with no app running,
5. check for background running applications, stop/disable unwanted apps, you can manage apps from auto-start manager.
6. check for latest ZenUI/3rd party Apps update.

i am planning to buy samsung j7. . then i found out that asus selfies specs is better than samsung j7. . i am worried about its battery.. to those people who has this phone. . how long does this battery last while playing music the whole time?? and the battery rating is just 61 compared to samsung j7 which is 91. . a big difference

Pathetic Combi of HTC desire eye and also a clear cut mock of the LG G3 and G4 including those rear keys and Laser Autofocus Cameras.. But the Battery wont stand and the phones dont perform as compared to Flagship devices thats y the less price and more features..NO RELIABILITY!

Update the device to the latest firmware version & wipe cache partition.
