I just bought a unit today. I registered for an Asus account, and also redeemed the Google Drive. After a few minutes, I was alerted that the battery is low, in 15%. Less than 15 minutes later my Zenpad 7.0 just blacked out, so I presumed that it shut down due to low battery. I tried charging it, for an hour and a half almost, and it still doesn't switch on! What should I do?!

Hello everyone.. i just bought zenpad z370cg prolly 2 weeks ago, everything was going smooth except for one minor issue.. i kept getting the "ANDROID IS UPGRADING" loading screen everytime i would restart or power on the device. So i registered my device with asus account and started goin thru the updates hoping it would fix the issue. If my memory serves me right i think i went thru 3 updates. Now that i have the latest firmware, the minor issue was somehow fixed and got another one, a MAJOR one. I used the word SOMEHOW because it still shows up SOMETIMES, unlike before that it ALWAYS SHOWS UP EVERYTIME I TURN ON the device.. and, instead of fully fixing the issue i received another MAJOR issue.. before the update, like when my zenpad was fresh from the box, my wifi was doing great.. but after the update IT TAKES 3-5 MINUTES BEFORE I CAN CONNECT TO WIFI.. at first i thought it was my wifi connection messin up, but i have a zenfone 2 and zenfone 5 that can connect to my wifi without any delay... :( i really hope someone can help me out, or have any suggestion regarding the matter.. i prefer asus devices because i wanted to have all of them synced without the unnecessary compatability issues, but this wifi connectivity bug is already makin me think twice... :(

It is an excellent device. Hardly any add-on applications. The few add-on apps are actually very useful. Excellent ZenUI middleware interface, and an excellent standby battery manager. My advice is avoiding fiddling with the device, or reset it, and let it install all much needed updates from google, such as stage fright security fix, and all the system updates from ASUS. There were many great system updates from ASUS, which fixed many bugs. Going back to factory reset is not recommended.

If you only bought the device a few days ago, then please be patient and let android finish all much needed updates. While android is updating you may feel some lag, due to heavy android activity. This lag will stop after about two weeks of usage. Also please allow for ASUS system updates to install. There are a few of them. Once done please make sure that your version is from September 2015.

bought this tab few days ago...it's good but the battery sucks. and performance could have been better if not for those too many running asus apps (cannot be disabled). has potentials, but lots of bloatware making this device laggy and battery hungry. anyone knows how to root this device? please....

What you are experiencing was a known issue in older system release, which already fixed in the latest system update fro ASUS. Please make sure you allow auto FOTA updates to install. Do not reject or delay the auto updates. GO to settings, about, system update and check the date stamp on your system version. If it is not from 201509, meaning September 2015, then it means that your system version is old. Then start the update check on the same screen, and allow and accept the auto update over the air, FOTA, if will take around 10 to 20 minutes including restart. Be patient.
