Can somebody tell me is some possibility to use SIM card or phone memory separate, but not together (An older Siemens CX 65 had this possibility).
My EL 71 has that switching off problem to.
Design really cool, u'm really like this phone.

The problem you have can been fixed when you update your software, you need version 17.

BATTERY LIFE!!!! GUYS!!!! SERIOUSLY READ!!!! Ive just found out a fix to the battery life! Turn you screen illumination down to like 30% Thats still heaps bright & will save your battery life ALOT!

Can anyone tell me, have you had problems with the phone switching itself off?
And how can you fix it? Or can you get a replacement if it is under warranty?

I have just bought el 71,its quality and sound good but the battey life is so short. It only stands 36 hours without using any propeties of the phone...... ı am not strongly advice you buy.......

this fone us avbsolutely great.i cant recommend this hughly enough.hardwearing and reliable.incased in metal which is always good!

Hi everybody,
Benq-siemens El71 have a brother E71 and I would like to advice everbody to see the phone in the shop. its a beauty, everything works perfect and this one has also a radio.
I have both phones and like them both, but E71 is beautiful and smaller and if you look at the colors , the size, just perfect.
This phone looks a like s10 years ago from Siemens.

You had some questions, the phone doesnt turn off on the new software. I bought the silver one and then I bought the opal black, the silver had some bugs but the black one is perfect because it had new software.
I also have E71( new) and its a perfect one. This one has also radio and no bugs at all. See the phone in the shop and buy it, It costs only 200 euro in Germany and have the same menu options like EL71.You will not be disapointed. I'M not

well i haven't got the EL71 yet but i am planning on buying it. I have heard that it turns off whilst on it and that it pauses every now and then and that if you leave it on all day then you have to charge it at night, these comments are putting me off buying it. are these problems on only some peoples phones or are they on all of the EL71's????

First I am from middle east , and in the middle east the more companies sells is nokia then sony-ericsson then benq-siamens then motorola then samsung , but i bought different mobiles with different companies :
1- siemens
2- panasonic
3- nokia
4- sony ericsson
5- motorola
6- alcatel
7- samsung
8- at the last i bougth benq-siemens
That is true the benq-siemens is new company but really.. really.. really it has the best phones , then sony-ericsson , and the benq-siemens in contrast siemens in excellence , really i felt very happy when i bought el71 , it is very nice in shape and design , comfortable in use , easy in menu and use , his software collect between nokia and sony-ericsson so it is the best software in mobiles , there are not any broblems with me , high quality screen and speaker , cheap price , only small thing with this mobile (el71) the battery: is not very strong like other benq-siemens's mobiles because it is small battery - the other benq-siemens's mobiles have strong battery because the sizes of batteries suitable , i advise every one when they want to buy a mobile think about benq-siemens , they will not regret , and if you take a one tray with any mobiles from benq-siemens ... you will buy more than one models from them

this handset is crap the camera where is it and the mp3 player on the handset is rubbish it only holds 16mb of memory mark 43440 crt

Am just about to buy this phone but had a sudden thought.....does it have a USB lead to transfer files from PC to phone? (Am in UK by the way).

In about a week I am getting a new phone, either the EL71, or a D900. As I have been using Siemens for the past six years, I really would like to stick with them.
Any comments on either phone?

Hi everyone, i would really appreciated sum help. I have had my phone for over a month, got the memory card but i cant connect to computer. I mayb just be being really stupid but please help. I cant seem to download drivers. USB does not recognise my phone. Thanks. x
