this phone looks the part but, is very poorly made the back is extremely loose. i had the phone exchanged 3 times same problem exsisted so i swapped for LG Chocolate white. which is fantastic, DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!

I have a EL71... illumination should be lowered... to a comfortable level... keep the sound volume as much as required...avoid using it with ON keytones,vibrations...
Battery life is totally dependent on usage.. My El 71 lasts for two days without recharging...
to load songs in the phone... connect it to you laptop and install phone manager... it is available in the CD which comes along with the phone... and copy / paste...

I have had this phone for 3 months. On board memory IS very little, but I have bought and put in a 1 gig micro SD card so it is more than sufficient. Converting audio files is easy with the given program. Video files are also easily converted and put onto the phone. There are some lag issues with video though.
One question, does anyone know how to set up AIM or MSN Messenger on this phone?? please help!

Had the EL71 for 4 days now; still in factory settings. Finding that battery life is very poor, daily charge necessary as don't want to risk complete discharge during work day (with less than 60 mins use a day). On board memory is also poor. Have now changed default brightness to see if things improve, but think that another phone may have been a better option for the same money.

I have in plan to buy one EL 71, but I have concerns about battery life. People on this group suggested set illumination to 10% (or 30%), set the screen saver to energy saving mode, adjust timing to 1 minute and activate auto key lock. Does anyone know how much can battery last when you apply all of this tips?

im contemplating getting the benq siemens EL71 for xmas can any1 email me and give me advice what the phones like....is the mp3 player any good, are songs easy to put on, is it easy to get extra memory on it, is the camera good ...etc.

how you get music you go to the dia-fum-fum vaule, in menu, and click farting stick, oh this phone is very very very nice....

If you upgrade your software on your phone to 17. Do you lose all your settings & ringtones, images etc?.... Also can sum1 post a link for the upgrade?

my phone also switches off sometimes
and the battery lasts for only 2 days, maximum 3 days. But apart from that it's a good phone.
