I read the review, and so far, it's a nice phone. Can't wait to have one in Indonesia. Just bought an S75 for my wife, and looking for this one for my own :) Already saw it in ICS event, but no info about the launch date and the price :'(

It's a tough phone! Very durable, has a part alloy case too . the only concern I have is that the keypad is very light rubber.. It feels lik its going to ware out before long which wont be good as it doesnt look too easy to change!

One question for all the EL71 users: what about the keypad? I'm a bit worried that it will wear off after a month or two. It seems too "fluffy"... any experience?

I got this phone today from the carphonewarehouse for £110 i also got a 512mb memory card as theyve got 25% off.
This phone is really good value for money.
I am yet to work out how to put mp3s etc on it.
i connect to pc via usb and it says mobile not connected?

                        Hi England chick,

I had this phone already. I was the first one. It is a goog phone and i returned it because I want a BENQ-SIEMENS EL1 opal black.
It will not break. I wait almost 2 months, opal black is still not out, only silver

                            Hi all,

I bought it 10 days ago and have been using it intensively since then. It is a superb phone and ideal not only for personal but also for business use as well. It is light, smart and solid - whoever sees it, likes it.

It's compatible with Ms-outlook and Lotus but unfortunately the software comes in the box is not easy to understand. My connection preference is Bluetooth and I synchronize my contacts, tasks, calendar and appointments in it. Thanks to large screen and user friendly design - I enjoy all functionalites comes with it.

If u want to fully utilise from this mobile, u should read the user guide in the cd - as the published one is a Quick start type.

MP3 player and external speaker are SUPER! MicroSD is not very common type of memory card (I mean currently!) but if u buy a 5 usd card reader/writer / via MMC adapter, u can use it very effectively for MP3 uploading. Give yourself couple of days before u think u understood your device :)

                            regards

it's very good phone, personnaly i used almost 5 siemens phonees and it's really different and special. very nice screen, and high quality of the camera. it's a satisfaction comparing to old siemens phones and good relation quality-price. in Tunisia it cost 252 euro. I'm really enjying it. thanks BenQ-Siemens..

I got a really good deal on this phone from the carphone warehouse. It was £110, unbranded and unlocked with an orange payg sim, 10 credit and a 512mb memory card. Although the phone is very slow and tends to pause alot whilst loading things and playing songs its incredinly slick.. "fly" if you like. Really nice to hold, very comfortable and has every feature you could want from a new phone today. However the battery isnt really performing at all. It will only last me 24hours most so I am having to charge it over night EVERY night! OVERALL I WILL GIVE THE PHONE 8.5/10 , well done Benq-Siemens!

Exellent, one of the most cheap mobile equiped with 1.3Mpixel camera. Excellent software (who told NOKIA is the best? I had both). To now only 2 drawback:
1_cannot copy at once the contacts from SIM to mobile, and reverse.
2_nowhere is written what's mean the LED on front panel (it blink even if no lost call or unread SMS is present)
