A phone so advanced MUST have a flast. I don't see the point of having 3.2 MB camera with no flash?????????

    the facts:
    1. BS SL91's design is an advanced version of Siemens SL75 (combined with BS EF81 platform). so the design of SL91 is a copy from their own SL75's design.
    2. SL91 is not KG800. LG KG800 uses touch-sensitive pad reacting to the electro-conductivity of a person's skin, while Siemens SL91 uses Force-Sensing Resistor (This way the SL91 touchpad keys can be used even with gloves, it's impossible for the KG800).
    3. Nokia 8110 is not a 'real' slider phone, N8110 is a candybar phone w/ slide-cover to protect its keypad (). Siemens SL10 is the first phone that uses slider form factor (a form where the two halves of the phone slide together)

          Hi Everbody,

How can this phone be a copy when it looks like SL75 only that it have a pressure sensitive touchpads and they are different from the one LG Chocolate is using. This technologie is maybe invented by Siemens and not LG. Remember the touchpads that
through laser come on the table from your phone, also Siemens.

Let me point out that the touchpads on the LG Chocolate and BQS SL91 are different. While the LG uses heat-sensitve technology, the BenQ-Siemens is pressure-sensitive. This means that the touchpad on the SL91 is somewhat better as it can be used with gloves, etc.

Now I see that two devices smashed SE K800: BS SL91 and Nokia N73! The display of SL91 must be BRILLIANT!

                  @ Dali
                  =======

Why are you over reacting? Who said I DIDN'T like BenQ-Siemens???

It's just the plain obvious truth that like the RAZR, LG Choclate is another trend-setter, and BenQ-Siemens has incorporated SOME features of it into THIS phone.
The sleek glossy finish and especially the touch-pad are very alike. Other than that it is MUCH better than the choclate, no doubt about that! Can you live with that?

Just chill, dali, for crying out loud....

                    Hi Everbody again,

This phone SL91 looks like SL75 only much better, so how can it be like LG choclate.
Everybody who doesnt like Siemens phones or has something bad to say about Siemens phones should stay by Nokia,LG,SE,Samsung.
I will buy this phone, no matter how much it will cost.

                      LG choclate (KG800)...just better
                      ===================================

Asians like to copy ideas a bit more straight-forward. And the fact that this is a slide-phone has nothing to do with it.
So yall, look closer, compare the LG KG800 in the way it was designed and you'll see many similarities... no doubt about it.

The look and feel, though more rounded, is very much alike the KG800...the LG Choclate.
Just look at the touch-pad - it works the same! Sleek and hidden away, activated by the warmth of your fingers.

The features rock LG's world though. Better color display, better camera, memory card slot etc.
That's taking the flaws out of a great LG mobile...and making it better. That's the SL91!

                      Obvious...but well done!

                      Harlekkin

The the 8110 wasn't a true slide phone in the way that this was. The slide was only a plastic keypad cover. In fact it wasn't the first phone with this feature. There was an Alcatel phone with a slide cover released about a year before it.

Siemens SL-10 wasn't the first slider NOKIA 8110 was, althoug SIEMENS SL10 with SIEMENS S10 were phone's with the FIRST color screens.

                                  Hi Everybody,

I hate the one that say Nokia 8110 was the first slider. Look at the picture before you say things like that. Siemens was the first slider SL10. You don''t know the different between a real slider. I'm glad they didn't try to copy Siemens SX1. The best phone ever, hope BENQ-SIEMENS will make SX2.

The SL10 was released in either 1998 or 1999. The nokia 8110 slider was released 1996. Siemens may have been the first to use colour but it was definately not the first to use a slider.

I'm not saying that I don't like Siemens, different brands have different qualities and different niche markets.

To tell you the truth, my favourite mobile from all time, and the one I will continue to use is the SX1, unless an SX2 comes out. This phone is just the right size and has every feature you could ever need!

                                        What an eye catching phone.

I'm due a free upgrade so I was thinking about the Nokia N73 or the SE K800i, might just wait for this beauty now though.

Never had a Siemens phone before so know nothing about how they operate. Had Nokias before until I went Motorola 2 years ago, currently on a V635.

Is the Siemens operating model anything like Nokia or Motorola?
