BlackBerry 10.2 to bring Wi-Fi Direct, notification actions

03 July, 2013

BlackBerry 10.2 OS update was confirmed for later this year by BlackBerry’s Product Manager Michael Clewley. He has also revealed some of the new upcoming features such as standard Unicode emojis, multiple alarms, reminders and level 1 notifications.

A bunch of screenshots coming from a pre-release version of the BlackBerry 10.2 lets us get an even better idea of the new features. It seems the update will also bring quick actions to the notifications. You will be able to respond to a message straight from the notification area, for example.

Another new feature is the Wi-Fi Direct support. This would allow you to share content via Wi-Fi without the need of a router.

We bet BlackBerry will add even more features before the update hits the supported devices later this year. It certainly should if it is to have any chance of dealing with the financial troubles.
