some time ago, i had a problem with gprs/edge. in fact, i lost edge signal in area where it should be present. well here is the solution, strange but true. i just change desktop picture. i loaded brand new one from the pc. i already have new bb sw (v4.5.). maybe pc did it something to my bb8700, but anyway now i have gprs/edge at all time.
i don't think i helped somebody, but i needed to put this on web.

it... moreAdeel your problem will be solved if you turn wireless on. Its a icon displaying on the screen of Black Berry 8700 TURN WIRELESS ON (like antenna) then its works and u can receive or make calls anytime.

Yes you can unlock your blackberry for international use....I myself own one and am a frequent traveller, you must purchase a code from e-bay my agent did it for me...and now it works perfectly well.
