I must be one of the lucky few, because I have absolutely no problem with the 9720. Yes, the proccessor and memory could've been better, but other than that, it's an awesome phone. With regards to the scratching of the screen, I just bought a very decent scratch-protector and Bob's your uncle. In my opinion, due to personal experience, a very nice, user-friendly phone, with a nice keypad, to boot.

Surely one of the most bad BlackBerries, my first one just blank out after a month, Vodacom replaced it with another 9720 and within a years time Vodacom replaced it for the second time. My advice is SAVE YOUR MONEY FOR SOMETHING. BETTER!!!!!!!!

Camera 8 to 12 mp with led flash auto focus for qwerty .
increase ram also memory

Well, my opinion is that 9720 is a bit pricey for the work it does, I enjoyed the BIS BUT otherwise its so backwards, it freezes if not it'll just restart itself over and over again... I just bought a Vodafone Smart 4 Mini for R899 at PEP STORES and dear, compared to 9720 which is now R2 499, and I must say... my Vodafone is WOW, I mean Jelly Bean, responds very well and its no regrets. Am done with Blackberry and its time to move on... no hard feelings. Molly

First off I can see the phone is made out of good quality of materials and is solid, but for the price of this phone there is a lot more they could've added like a better cpu because the current cpu is redundant in 2014 they could atleast have fitted a 1gig processor, and this 512MB of on board memory is also redundant that's why I fitted a 8gig memorycard because you can't really do much with thath 512MB and then the screen scrathes very quickly the plastic they used isn't very good on the screen, the phone freezes a lot when I'm in the Operah mini browser, and Blackberry's browser is utterly useless it takes forever to load a web page you can't download anything because the browser is so slow when you download something bigger than a megabyte it fails, and then the batter is okay but noy great, the speaker is at the bottom of the phone I must say is good quality better than the samsung galaxy s3 mini's speaker, but blackberrys program isn't that great I prefer Android if I can have get android on this phone it will be great because the games on blackberry appworld is crap and redundant but the programm has its good points too like its very easy to use and the BIS on the phone for R60 is also very good that's why I bought this phone for the BIS I will recommend getting this phone as a secondary phone for scrolling the web and doing research on google and so on because of the BIS that's cheap but not as a primary phone for a primary budget phone I will recomend you to get a Samsung Galaxy S3 mini.

It sucks, camera hangs often, the touch screen malfunctions often,it hangs every damn time! I am so angry at why I bought it! I shoulda saved up for one of the samsung galaxys or a q5. i am very disappointed with the phone. It switches off, its losing charge even if one does not use WA,facebook pr such things. Gets very warm, and is now respondong slowly touch.

The blackberry 9720 is a nice phone for a five year old...blackberry tried to copy they q5 but it did not work out. It freeze every second and after a while it will not charge at all...if you a smart you won't get this phone
