Awesome phone with a deadly combination of touch and type. Super fast emails. No android device can beat blackberry in email. If you are businessman then look no further go for blackberry if you want games & tons of mindless apps go for android.

This phone is great. The interface is a very cleaver combination of touch, pad and a real keyboard. It is also fast, faster than my wife's galaxy 4. It's also sleek and light and small enough to fit into my pocket. Best of all all my data is free, I don't have to endlessly top up data like other smart phones.

I just switched from a 9300 to this phone and it is GREAT. The BBM button, the camera with flash, touchscreen and button input is an improvement duly noted. Analogue style FM radio with digital interface is wow.
Reminds me of my first gen Blackberry 7290 with its big screen and ideally spaced keys.
As a media player this phone rocks with mp3 and mp4 playback.
The Multicast app is a great addition along with Foursquare as the default app complimenting the 5MP camera with flash.
This is the most popular Blackberry model in South Africa. Thanks Canada

However very soon I g... moreSame thing goes for me ...the phone looks promising but itz a crap phone no jokes ...it hangs sometimes but freezes after taking some pictures and takes picture on its own in my pocket even when locked and restarts itself a lot ...I am highly dissapointed with BB for another crap product like this..I would advice you not to do what you are about to do now

hI frend, all old bbm phone is work on normal setting, but some normal setting is required,
go to on, setting--device--advance setting--tcp ip--click on apn setting enabled--apn:.... (fill your operator's access point name (APN).
and enjoy by your normal 2g/3g plan
in all blackberry mobile phones

This device fits in the already existing blackberry user market. I have a 8520 and I have used it for years, it comes free with work and free sim. My company has a BES 5. I asked my IT if they were planning on implementing a bes10 and they said no plans at the moment. This 9720 allows me use the new phone features and still use bes 5 for my work emails.
I don't recommend this phone if you want to install load of apps as its more for business, where you would have just a few essential apps.
I just picked up a refurbished one from ebay for £75, which makes it an even better deal.

It si the worts phone ever jumps a lot reboots when it whants atleast 5 times a day wipes alot I would rather take the oldest nokia there is than this phone it is sh*t

Its for the first time I m using BB and I just think maybe let me try it I started getting problems where I bought this BB9720 I cannot view anything and I send E-Mail to them to came and collect it I advice not to buy the so call BB its useless

people once again do not overload with apps to avoid restarting because it has only a 512mb internal memory if you want to install many apps go for atleast 8gb internal memory..i've been a user of blackberry for 5 yrs from lowend to highend units and i have no problem encounter whatsoever..
