I was so happy when I got my BB 9720. However very soon I got frustrated because it freezing when I take a picture. Then it started restarting itself a few time a day and some times just plainly switched off. Also I got irritated by the touch screen that is wonderful when you use the phone "in the house" but if you put it in your pocket it phones, bbm's, whatsapp and got o every imaginable website all by it self. And you cannot switch it off. Even if you lock the screen with a pin it still takes pictures of the inside of your pocket.
I took the phone in and after a three week wait I got a new one. The touch screen still made me scream, but at least it was not restarting. This phone also freezes sometimes when I take photo's and it now decided it will not connect to a PC with a USB cable. Nothing helps so it will have to go for repairs as well. Another 3 weeks without my phone. 6 weeks out of 4 months without something I am paying for. What a piece of crap. Everyone in my house hold has a BB none of them have problems only the "newest"one. I truly hate this phone. I will rather use a Nokia 3110. At least its reliable.This is my first and most definitely my last Blackbery.

jeannette, 22 Feb 2014I have the 9720 from Desember and this morining the screen ... moreI bought this last week saturday..I've been using bb 9780 nd I just miss my phone because this 1 has lots of errors,the screen doesnt sense and I cnt even take pictures...its like um using those old alcatel phones....blackberry really disappointed me this time....*epicfail* I really love blackberry but ill to change this 1

Had this phone for three months now, and it gets worse every day, always rebooting, always crashing. tried to reset to default and the same s**t continues. Really good for the first month apart from constant memory errors and now this.
I f**cking hate this phone, the sooner Blackberry go out of buisness the better!

I had the BB 9300, which I feel was a great little phone, now I use the 9720 and I have absolutely nothing but praise for it. Personally I feel the camera could've been better and a secondary camera woul've been even more so, but for what I've experience, over the last few months, I can only say it's a lovely user-friendly phone, with very few problems.
My gf has the 9790, which is more than double the price of the 9720, but has so many complaints an is considering changing to the (in my opinion) much better 9720.
All in all, it might be a low to middle end phone, but I get nothing but high end service an satisfaction from it.

I have the 9720 from Desember and this morining the screen is just doing as it please I can't do anything with it the screen just jups around opens what it wants can't going in to any app as I try doing something it is doing something els I really think its not a very good phone as it does that just after 3 months.

hellz, 20 Feb 2014How good is the keypad on 9720 compare to 9320?keypad is moderately friendly depending how you taxt on it, keys are soft and don't make a loud noise but you can feel the clicks while you busy pressing the buttons.

Well i just wis... morethe memory for Me since i've been using it is never and issue, you can refer to an option of deleting languages you don't use to create more RAM which will improve performance of the phone (i hardly noticed this with the 8520) in the phone that will give more room for extra apps and the App monitor will remind you everytime if you have background apps still active if you doing other things on the phone and it will de-active them for you (which you can opt to not to if you want, if the phone has less than 10MB that's when it becomes slow but the app monitor notifies when it nears 30MB;) you can also delete apps you don't use which you will find in the Blackberry World under "My World Unstalled" for Me so far as I mentioned for an upgraded from 8520(used for few years) to 9720 I still notice a huge difference and the tricks RIM allows in this phone to play around with.

I think the spec of 9720 is not really bad. Well i just wished that it comes with autofocus on camera and bigger internal memory, at least 4GB int.memory is enough, 512MB of RAM is still okay, but only 512MB for int.memory is a lil' disappointing for me..
