I just sold my BB9220 in order to welcome this new BB9720!
Frankly speaking, this is a lovely device to me especially in my work environment where it required me to type and reply a lot.
However, it is even better if BlackBerry could have been manufactured this device with Auto-Focus camera feature!
Good battery life and nice IPS screen to have. Of course, the superb keyboard is the main aim I still stick with blackberry even though I have another Samsung Quattro for lesuire purpose.
In short, I really hope BlackBerry can do well in their business with creative R&D team and faster response team to what's market needs.
Keep up the good work, BlackBerry! :)

BB 9720 is a good attempt by RIM to lure the mid class consumers towards Blackberry. What is positive in this phone is presence of FM radio, IPS screen with 16 millions colours, Larger battery than other OS 7.1 devices ( except 9320 and 9220 ), larger 2.8 inch Touch screen ( better than 9790, 9360, 9320 and 9220 ), spacious keypad ( better than 9790, 9360, 9320 and 9220 ), 5 mpx camera with led flash ( better than 9360, 9320 and 9220 ), a better look & form factor ( better than 9360, 9320 and 9220 ) and lastly a good price tag of USD 250 ( considered good when compared to other budget Blackberry OS 7.1 devices with respect to 9720 specifications ). Now lets talk about drawbacks which are... Its a slow device when compared to Androids, Low RAM and ROM, a very few applications on Blackberry world and lastly its expensive when compared to Androids in terms of specifications. Blackberry is loosing its fans everyday but this device may turn out to be a crowd puller. Time will tell how 9720 stands out in terms of sales.

its lit, feels like a toy. battery runs out fast. but does not hang.

I've been patiently waiting for the white 9720 to be available in nigeria.
The only glitch is the memory,so buy a memory card...other than that,this phone is good!

I bought the phone and i must say im inlove with it..
Its my 1st Blackberry handset and im loving it!! And also people if you dont like the phone why buy it in the 1st place. Do your research or a background check of the features and so on before you buy it. Im tired of hearing you guys moan about how bad the phone.. Grow up!!

2100 MAh battery
320+ PPI
better BB world App
if this will happen! pretty sure, this will be a big hit!!!
well i think for me, that the blackbery is still living in the year 2011..

I have this BB, and i ilike almost same with amstrong, good bat and lcd touch like android price $100 , but best lcd still bellagio,recommended for long term condition. Swipe lock, and full plastic.

blackberry by now I expect u to HV something much better than same phones with same specification or only de shape of body is different from one. Apart from BBM BB u sucks.
