I run a small business and am looking at possibly getting the Blackberry Bold, i want to be able to access my accounts and also use Microsoft Word and Excel documents. Is this the best type of phone to use for what i require. Have had the Blackberry Curve for a short trial period but had not got round to sorting out Microsoft documents etc on it. Would somebody please be kind enough to advise. Thank you kindly.

The blackberry is the most powerful business OS that sends email to ur device instantly. none of Nokia or Iphone has no match to it.I my self own a curve & waiting for Bold to come to US market so i can upgrade.

Beautiful phone, had a bit of play with it here in Australia.

But what about Telstra's plan? $130/month with only $60 worth of included calls + data? Are they kidding?

May just have to buy this outright for $999 and stay on my pre-paid cap.

Unknown, 29 Aug 2008Can someone please tell me what is the main difference betw... moreI've used the blackberry software with the Nokia E61, SonyEricsson P1, and my BB Curve.
If your business has a Blackberry Enterprise server that they will allow you to connect to - the Blackberry devices are BY FAR the better solution. I love my blackberry, and its main reason is the email. The blackbery software on non blackberry phones just isn't the same. They're slower, email doesn't get sent the same, you miss out on BB Messenger, syncing your email at work - ie Lotus notes and the keyboard on the curve is great for even for stubby thumbs like mine.
Camera features, built in gadgets - I'd go Nokia or SonyEricsson. But if you want awesome messaging features.. I am a true Blackberry fan. If you don't have to commit to a 3yr plan - don't - get it on ebay, or from someone else unlocked. Definately a toy you want to be able to say you've at least tried.

I've used this phone all day today and it is without doubt the best that blackberry, or any other manufactuer for that matter, have produced in the business phone sector.

Unknown, 29 Aug 2008Can someone please tell me what is the main difference betw... moreRIM's stong points is Push-Email. many people use the BlackBerry Email services(Both BIS and BES) which has been the best mobile E-mail service. therefor BlackBerry Connect, which brings this service to phones with Symbian or WinMob was created. but it was never as good as an actual BlackBerry.
Though, now Nokia Intelisync and Microsoft Exchange servers are catching up, and many newer models nolonger support BlackBerry Connect(ie E71,E66) so, if you want to use the BB service, get a BB. if you're happy with other E-mail solutions, then go with Symbian or WinMob.
