Those wanting to run facebook apps, maps ect.
You need to run them in the web browser. They still haven't bothered to find a way to run those applications. That is for those without a blackberry server plan.. And particularly on pre paid.. (How hard would it be for phone networks to set up a blackberry prepaid option? not that hard). However crackberry has an application to its site that works. ABC also has an application that works.. And Youtube app works as well.

Good luck finding things on this phone that work.. Just hope and prey they look after the prepaid customers.. We are in limbo at the moment.. And you know how long bureaucracy takes! :)

I have had the BB Bold 9000 for 1.5 yrs now. The phone has alot of great features. My biggest problem is the phone's durability. It suffers from frequent crashes and multiple random issues. One example is the phone just randolmy dies and you can power it up - regardless of charging, new battery or whatever. But if I leave it sit for 24 hrs with battery out, it somehow comes back to life. can't explain why or what is wrong, but it is a known issue - go ahead and search for it. It is random issues like this that make what could have been a good BB, a mediocre at best BB. So, I give it a not so great score on the design. The email, calendar, and contacts are fine (what you would expect from a BB), but the other features are still awful. Its ability to handle content like music, pictures, etc is better than older generation BB's, but does not come close to comparing with Android and iPhone. Some with browsing - it is painfully slow even if 3g with 5 bars is showing, but that could be a by product of the ATT network as well (let's be fair - ATT has had issues with their 3g rollout. Plus, the other apps for the phone just aren't in the same calibre as competitior's smart phones that are in that same generation. I can only hope that BB figures this out, because I have a feeling that Apple and Google (android) will continue to eat their lunch and gain marketshare). Hope this was helpful and thanks!

Once you have started the BlackBerry maps, press the BlackBerry-key (the one just besides the green phone key), and you you will get a menu where one item is "Start GPS Navigation". As with other GPS tools, it is best to stay clear of tall buildings etc. And it takes a few minutes where the map says "Searching for Satellites...".

I NEED HELP. I'm from the Philippines and the Bold 9000 white is not yet available as far Globe Telecom (the carrier partner of RIM here) is concerned. But there's this shop here which sells BB phones and they have a white Bold 9000. According to them their units are brand new and came from the US (T-Mobile). My concern/question is this: how would I know if the phone is a refurb or not? Thanks.
