amyt, 27 Aug 2009hey mates...read all the reviews so far...but i doubt which... moreThe BB has several compelling features: Long battery life; iPhone resolution screen (320×480); Removable battery; Removable 8GB memory cards; Proper keyboard; Nice size; Fair camera; Cool design; Extensive revision history; Ultra-Quality feel. The iPhone is fine but crippled by battery life, fixed everything and limited touch keyboard. I have a BB and luv it. My friend has a BC and iPhone. He prefers the BC. The Nokia N97 is ok but not light. If you buy it, what you are really wanting is a netbook.

i will highly recommend you to take out N97.. it is way out of the competition between Iphone 3GS and BB... Nokia cant even be close to any of them.....
between those two BB9000 and Iphone.. that is a tough deciseion but BB is more toward Biz phone and Iphone is more toward multimedia phone.. depends in your needs

Hi, i just wondering right now is better i buy blackberry bold or iphone 3GS ???
right now im in australia, and actually we cant get blackberry service for free, we must sign a contract for 24 months to get the service. but i hear from my friend now we can get the service without contract.
so which one you guys recommend? Blackberry or iphone ?

The bold is an extremely unique device,pretty expensive,kinda limited and definitely not smtin diz operator would wana throw at a trainee...even in most firms core blackberry server details r given only to highly placed persons...even at dat d trainees still ought to know about bb devices...still if it gets too stressful,just fall back to diz forums...
Finally Jay, I think after one night with your bold I stop being the only reason why ur getting it...lol..

I was lucky to get through to blackberry salesperson who said he will help me test and use this complex device..
Its amazing no matter how many new phones ive had, the excitement at getting another one never changes..
I've been reading your opinions and its been alot of help, to tell you the truth, thats the only reason why i'm getting this phone..

Rplied ur earlier post but I hd probs with d site...the procedures involved in updating ur firmware are pretty simple n self explanatory...the most important thing is that u have the blackberry desktop manager installed on ur system(lappy or desktop)..with d newer version of the desktop manager u search for d newest available firmware...with dis d latest firmware is located..make sure ur bb device is connected to ur system wyl carrying out diz procedures...options are displayed to install d firmware on ur device...follow all further instructions and VIOLA ul have d most tech firmware in bb history...
U can also do an online search for the latest bb firmware...there are lots of site with links to download d firmware n then install...following the instructions on this site is another option...
NOTE:To prevent data loss,make sure all ur important data n contacts are backed up before commencing the update..

Amazing!! I've phoned the service provider mtn in south africa and the so called blackberry technical centre and these nutters don't seem to have a clue how to even use this phone and what it requires.. They are pretty advanced in phone exchanging.. Nokia plz help these poor souls...
Oh! and they have difficulty understanding english..

Well it doesn't have any bluetooth problem its just a bit diff.. like after pairing with the device you go to media and select receive using bluetooth..
and about lock no it doesnt have special locks for mess n all ..
one more thing you cant make doc. excel files u can just view them .. so please ask for the premium version software .. which u need to buy later

WOW!!! You guys have been alot of help, i can't wait to get my hand on this phone now. The n97 had such terrible reviews from so many people and for the BB9000 there hasn't been that many..
You guys have summed up this phone really well, I don't understand half the terminology you guys use here, but i'm sure you'll be here to help. I didn't realise how little I know about phones..

Hi all.. I need some advice, i've finally decided to buy this phone and should be getting it this weekend. From the opinions here its obvious that there are probs with this phone like all phones do..
Could you plz advise me on what changes are needed to be made on this phone to make it work at its best, are there any software downloads etc..
