In fact it's not a problem, it's a security feature so no one can download/upload a file without your knowledge to your phone.
What you have to do is pair the device with another device first, then goto Media option and press MENU again and click on "Recieve Using Bluetooth" and voila.

Its obvious sm1 must have rearranged your folders because all d apps in ur application folder are misplaced...check your other folders to see if the word to go was misplaced in them...if this fails ,then you'll have to update your firmware to a newer version...this will definitely the final solution...

Xuchy, pls help me, my application folder hsnt "word to go" application. The only instlld here are the Calculator,Voice Notes Recorder, Voice Dialing, Saved Msgs and call log... and wer can i fnd the Word Pad or Notes?Thanks thanks

am, 22 Aug 2009Hi, Does anyone have difficulties with the blackberry no... moreif u want to receive files via bluetooth, let's say u wanna receive songs.. then u hv to open ur media 1st, go to songs.. Then, before ur friend send it, u hv to press the blackberry button and choose "receive using bluetooth" option.. then after that u could receive ur songs without any difficulties.. But u hv to do it every time u want to receive a file.. It's kinda tiring, i know.. But,, what can I say,, no choice..

if you use the gprs instead of the bb plan can you receive emails straight away like you can on the bb plan.Plz help.Thanx

Its really unfortunate that you're goin thru dis bluetooth stress... My previous issues was unable to activate bluetooth (not even pairing)had to take it back to d dealer for a replacement...follow diz procedures and tel me how it works out:
Go to set up.
Activate ur bluetooth and pair wit d selected device.
Go to ur media folder.
Press d blackberry(options)button and choose to either send or receive via bluetooth.
Then receive with ur device or prompt d other device to send to urs..

The bold does not have a microsoft word application cos its not a win-mo device. It comes with a microsoft word reader called "word to go". This is pre-installed in the bold and much fun to use... You'll find it in the application folder..

I am probably the first person in Sweden who's got a non-business contract for my Berry as an employee at 3 announced their service launch while talking to me on the phone. So I signed up right away. It's not even on their website yet. It's going to be exciting to use the Berry together with my iPhone 3G to compare the experiences. So far iPhone feels like play and Berry like business. Only time will tell.

does any one experience a memory leak issue with BB Bold 9000? The applications memory keeps dropping, I have the latest firmware update and deleted all unnecessary '3d party' apps messengers and the sort. So far its not impairing performance but I would like to know if I can clean the memory without pulling the battery or if there is a way to fix this. I only use the device for email and text sms, had it for 5 days now.

Yes,u can use the bold or curve as a modem...hook up with your carrier to know the set up procedure or do an online search..-"Sent From My Blackberry Bold"

Id like to make a correction on my previous post about SAR radiation level. I said it was 1.51 W/kg. But now I found it is actually 0.84 W/kg. The difference is that the 1.51 W/kg is measured in american way they measure it on 1gram of tissue.
The 0.84 W/kg is the european measuring on 10 grams of tissue. So, 0.84 W/kg is very very decent for this device.
I know there are alot of people who couldnt care less about radiation level, but for those who do, 0.84 W/kg and on your body 0.65 W/kg. Very very nice figures.

Is it possible to use gprs if you dont want to use the blackberry plan on the bold or curve and is it possible to use it as a modem on a laptop.Plz help

Anonymous, 19 Aug 2009It depends on your business need, if you send more than 20 ... moreHi 39xj,wats up?don't think I'll go with u on the win-mo entertainment part...so far there is no windows mobile device with a screen resolution close to what the bold offers..then the stereo speakers of the bold are so clear not to mention the earphones...on the app part,try looking up the blackberry app world on the latest firmware...its so cool...there are tons of themes and apps for blackberry online...I use an omnia and the bold so I speak from experience...do look it up...-"Sent From My Blackberry Bold"

You only get the bb maps when you sign onto a data package.
As soon as you do the icon for maps pops up.
I downloaded garmin gps for my bold...way better than bb maps.
