Hey my peeps...
Have anyone of you 9700 users experience a scratch on your screen? or any dust within the screen?

i have been using bold 2 for some time now and am really enjoying it. the sound system of the phone is awesome when used with an earpiece. the camera and video quality is also wonderful.it can be said to be the body of bold 9000 in curve 8900 spirit/soul.its OS and browsing speed is fast but if you have curve 8900,stick with it because there isnt much difference. some of the things i dont like about it is the keyboard button,especially the ones that have numbers and letters...it makes typing slow because everything is all white..the colours should have been different like it is in curve 8900(red and white). some persond were complaining about loosed bezel..i dont have that issue...mine is well fitted...i updated my OS to 5.0.0.680 but i had some issues with it so i reverted to 5.0.0.656 which i more stable

compared to other phone l... morethe reason y this device is expensive is because a few a factor,such as :
1)it is because of it's name - BlackBerry
2)the most stable devices (not just the OS itself,but overall)
3)the built quality is superb
4)Smartfone for Smart people
5)u will not regret owning a BB devices,yet u will be more enthusiasm in using this device (i can guarantee u dude - but make sure u know how to use it)..make urself knowledgeable n know "what is smartphone"..
6)u will get the best experience while using BB devices..n u cant get it elsewhere..hahaha..
so,all above are the best description towards BB..

just bought my first BB today and the first problem i noticed is that everytime i compose a new sms it is always sent as a reply to the previously received sms. the only way to send it to the right contact is to delete and clear all sms messages prior to sending.is there any setting to correct this? anybody encounter the same problem with the 9700?

why is this phone so expensive ?
compared to other phone like N97, Omnia Pro 2, Galaxy Spica, even N95 ?
is it because of the OS ?

BlackBerry Bold 9700 is the first RIM of mine, I love that phone, it is the best choice. It's smart and convenient. If we used it with plan BIS or BES it would be more wonderful. I don't think I will use RIM new model for next phone. BlackBerry is a smart phone for a smart user.

Blackberry bold 9700
Overall a good phone, had it for about 3 months. internet connection is very very fast, obvs depending on providor. But cant go wrong wid vodafone.
Camera is average... squeaky noises made though which is irrating.. blackberry messenger is a plus.
only down side is when sending texts, sometimes the thread messenger plays up and freezes and u cant see new messages.. iv found a way around this but its irrating... gotta say tho.. i love my BB!

Hi all,
i just bought a new Blackberry Bold 9700. Even if the battery shows full, after 5 mins usage, it tells me ,"BATTERY DRAINED, SHUTDOWN HANDHELD'". I need to remove back battery & inserts it again. then it works for some hours and fails again. Please advise how to sort out.Thx

I just want to express my big big big frustration with this phone. This Bold is my first RIM phone and it's one of the most expensive phones I bought and one of the worst. I've been using mine for a month already and I should say that it is well taken cared of. For a pricy smartphone, it is utterly unacceptable to have loose bezel. This is one poorly built phone. I was able to win my war against my carrier for an exchange but the replacement is just as bad. I checked the other available units and all suffer from loose squeaky bezel, one has loose screen and battery cover and the other with a disturbingly wobbly trackpad. My carrier didn't approve of a refund because accordingly these "defects" do not interfere with the phone's performance. Mine is made in Hungary-2. Thank God I still have my perfect iPhone 3gs!

Hi all.. I have tried send video file using mms to my friend Sonyerricson phone which is a 3g phone, but when he got my mms with the video file, he can't play and view the video which I have send to him. And i try to send the same video to myself using mms, I can receive the mms with the video file, but I also can't play and view the video. But I can play and view the video in the video file folder. Why is this so? Anyone face the same problem? Anyone can help please.. Thanks..

Hi. I just bought my blackberry bold 9700. However after almost 3 weeks of moderate usage I noticed the following: the bezel squeaks at the left side of the screen and there is a gap between the bezel and the board where the usb port is located, the bezel also creaks at the end and p buttons, the plastic under the space bar is loose and finally the screen is not flush. Are these issues common and negligible or should I worry? My carrier said they don't affect the performance of the phone so the warranty cannot be enforced. Help anyone?
