Bit disappointed in the bb bold 2, i had a 8520, and now i have the bold 9700, it doesn't give me that WOW factor, it works nice, and it is a great phone, the keyboard is nice, much easier then 8520, but still the same app's, price is almost double of 8520, so i tought there would be a pdf viewer of dataviz, but it's not, and also, if you don't have a BIS or BES, then you can't use anything about appworld, well i use it for my contacts, my agenda, notes, and stuff like that, but it's an expensive smartphone for that matter!

Dan, 24 Feb 2010Hey, Im stuck with deciding to get either this or the iP... moreThe main difference is:
*iPhone, Nokia etc are great mobile devices with lots of application and it support pushmail. But how it does it is by polling. That means it will sniff for emails at interval and the frequency is determined by the users. The more frequent, the more juice will be drained from the battery.
      * For BlackBerry, the mail is pushed to the device the moment it reaches the server. Thus this is a great device for handling messages. Email, sms, mms etc.
      Cheers

steve, 22 Feb 2010i know its kinda stupid basing it on the outer look but pls... moreHi Steve!
I used the 8520 for a month before switching to the new bold 9700, mainly because the 8520 has no 3G and could never get used to the keyboard; since the buttons are really small, add to that the device feels kinda cheap and its a fingerprints magnet!
Nothing like the 9700, its comfortable, elegant, fast, a really sharp display and when playing music it sounds fantastic.
                      Hope this helped :)

                      Cheers,

Everything on this phone is superb! The camera quality is amazingly clear! The speaker is loud! I think the keypad is too small, that is my only complaint. The trackpad is great so far.

Hi everyone. I agree with Darshan, this is by far the best phone out in the market (BB in general). I've had several phones/smart phones before (not to mention the brands) but this phone performs way better than most of them.

I'm just a new BB user and honestly, I was hesitant at first to get one because it might be too complicated for me, but I'm glad I did and now I can say that its worth the risk and money (and this is for those people who are planning to buy new phones for themselves).

I recommend this one... great value for money. Battery life is awesome, sound is great, over all performance is A++.

For web browsing/entertainment, lots of 3rd party apps and plain fun to use, get Iphone. No compromise there.

For push-mail, blackberry messenger, enterprise level security and real qwerty buttons, get the Blackberry.

For all of the above and with limited budget, and don't mind not looking like a yuppy or cool get Nokia.
