I got this phone 3 days ago and I just love it ... The optical trackpad is a HUGE improvement over the ball!

And I thought I was the only one haha... well I really really reaaaallllly love BOLD in terms of aesthetics, specially the qwerty pad compared to E72 sure-miss-the-spelling qwerty pad. BUT again, to whoever said BIS is not available in their country yet (like in our region) I recommend not to get BB first. If you do, there's NO WAY you'd be enjoying it's full features, no e-mails, IMs, no nothing... just plain call and sms. Correct me if I'm wrong BB owners, but that's what I've known from reading articles and blogs. And I think no one would be getting BB if there really is no intention of subscribing to BIS. It's either you take BB + BIS = unsurpassed service or BB w/out BIS = hello Nokia 3210 with 3.2 megapixel camera.

I've been a Nokia fan for a long time until I met 9700! Well, for the fact I'm heavily on emails, SMS and phone calls. I just love the messaging features and honestly, very productive. Of course I missed some features that are available in Nokia but that's not really a everyday affair.
Predictive text works perfectly for me and it's much better than E72. 9700 reminds me of my good old Palm, customed dictionary. You could assign 2 letter word for a 10 letters word! This is cool. Example "tnr" = Thanks and regards.
As for browser, both 9700 and E72 are a NO for me but the good thing is both support Opera Mini ver 4 and 5.
Battery is superb, 2 solid days for me. I've yet to try running Nimbuzz 48 hours, will let you guys know later.
Screen is simply gorgeous. As good as iPhone.

Hi dear friends,
I have doubt between NOKIA E72 and Blackberry Bold 9700! what is your idea? which one is better? as far as I know blackberry should be used only with blackberry enterprise supervises, otherwise it is useless! is it true?
Actually I want to buy unlock version of blackberry and it does not have blackberry enterprise supervises in my country? So I want to know what is limitation of Blackberry without its services?
To conclude which one is better? Nokia E72 or Blackberry bold?

Natsumeh, 10 Jan 2010Is it worth it to upgrade from Bold 9000 to Bold 9700? :/i did upgrade from 9000 to 9700. it was a great move. i love my new bold 9700 and using it for last 3 weeks. at the beginning the found the keypad is bit smaller for texting, but within couple of days it worked fine. display, trackpad, battery life, camera, video quality and 256MB RAM make the huge difference between two devices :o)

blader, 09 Jan 2010which is better the sony erricson satio or the blackberry boldim using BB Curve 8520 rite now .. i think BB is a very good device for internet instead of iphone .. im planning to upgrade to Bold 9700 .. actually i used to love satio since the 1st time it came out to internet, but i heard some rumor about the issues of the software itself and i juz think that its too late to come out to market, and im afraid about the issues of itself ... Its up to u if u love music, camera then go for satio .. But if u more to internet and mobile messaging then Bold 9700 wud be the best !!

the bold isnt so bold. i started on it the other day and it didnt fight back. plus i thought id eat it with some yogurt as i thought blackberries went with them. it now doesnt work

In Korea it is all over the place and they use it. same in Europe.....Nokia/Samsung/LG combined...check their combined market share in the WORLD. No carriers in the USA, support the function.

Help! I am losing sleep.
I caNNot read PDF files althou I have installed Documents To Go. N even thou I have installed that repeatedly, I can only find Word To Go, Spreadsheet To Go n Powerpt To Go in my Applications Folder. Everyone tells me they didn't even need to do any installation to read word, excel, powerpt n pdf as well. I could only do the 1st three, hence I tried installing again. Everyone teLls me PDF To Go is included in Documents To Go as well.. I am lost! Pls help! Many Many Thanks!

Lucy, 07 Jan 2010I'm looking to purchase a very good smartphone & I've b... morebuy all three lucy :P all of them are good, but hd2 is really big and handy, but brilliant features and touchscreen. 9700 is more of a classy business phone, but again, excellent features. i dont know about the nexus so wouldn't give any false comment. Im also still deciding between the HD2 and 9700 for myself.
