i'm a blackberry 9k user
i'm thinking to change my 9k to this onyx
can anyone tell me is it a good idea? is it worth it? the differences only on track ball to track pad and the ram upgrade. but the screen is shrunk...

I have had the BB bold 9700 for about a month and it is by far the best of its breed!! I just love how intuitive it is but then again aren't all BB's!! At first I thought the keyboard was a little too small for my fingers--but I adapted very quickly!! As a previous owner of a BB curve 8320 which has a beautifully spacious keyboard -- the ease of use on this keyboard is quite surprising!! I am never without my BB!! In fact, I'm typing this review on it now!!!

hi, i have been using it since almost a month, i have noticed that the transiver of the phone is not really good, i keep loosing the signals in low strength areas which i never experienced with the 8900. do any one of you have the same problem. the rest its a very good phone!

Nexus, 26 Dec 2009I just got the 9700, its a great phone, but I'm having prob... moreI had same problem rearly but it almost same. When I click on person sms folder will not open the folder to allow me write new sms. It does not happen on all contacts. for fixing it I have to ask the other side my contact to send me sms then after recive the sms I can open the folder again. But I do have the phone now for about 6 weeks and only happen maybe 3 to 4 times.
I beleive is software problem OS 5.0

I just got the 9700, its a great phone, but I'm having problems with the messaging. It keeps saying the messaging application encountered an unexpected error & after that it takes about 5 clicks and 30 seconds to open my sms or email folders. Any 1 else having this problem?

rose, 25 Dec 2009I just still wonder why did RIM release this blackberry by ... morei am happy with flash memory 256MB, rather than 128 MB in Bold 9000. i guess it does not matter about internal memory. I can spend couple of bulks to get micro SD card.
